Armacurve earns its place in the Superhive library for handling the repetitive setup of turning curve objects into practical rig controls, with free future updates included.
Armacurve is a curve rigging add-on for Blender that reads a Bezier curve, generates the rig structure, and links the result back to the original workflow. It covers curve-to-armature generation, a curve-to-mesh rig workflow with selected-only support, Empty helper creation for curve points, and a Tweaker panel for adjusting generated setups. It suits curve-based rigs for tentacles, cables, vines, tails, stylized props, and other spline-driven shapes.
Select a Bezier curve to generate an armature, then adjust bone division, B-Bone subdivisions, display type, and visual size in the operator options. A realtime rig preview lets you tune results, and B-Bone display options show how the generated armature follows the curve depth and shape. Head and tail pin offset controls with local XYZ offsets help reduce stretching, and weight threshold controls refine how the mesh responds to the rig.
Optional cloth-based physics can be added to generated setups, with collision influence when target objects have Collision modifiers. This physics feature is a bonus workflow for simple curves — complex curves or too many generated bones can produce unstable Blender cloth behavior.
Armacurve - Quick Rigging Curve Object And More is best for blender artists building curve-based rigs for tentacles, cables, vines, tails, stylized props, and other spline-driven shapes.
Armacurve - Quick Rigging Curve Object And More is completely free to download and use.
Armacurve supports Blender 4.2 through 4.5. Blender 5.0 support is not included yet, so check the developer's page before installing on a newer build. The add-on works on a single non-cyclic Bezier spline; if a curve object contains multiple splines, they should be separated first. Batch operation on multiple curve objects at once is not currently supported, and the selected-only mode should be used on connected points from one spline. These limitations are worth reviewing to confirm Armacurve fits your specific rigging setup.
Armacurve is available in the 3D View sidebar under Tool > Armacurve, or through the default pie menu shortcut Shift + Alt + C. From there you can use operators including Convert To Bone, C. to Mesh and Rig, C. to Mesh and Rig (Selected), and Add Object Helper. After generating a setup, select the generated armature and open the Tweaker panel to adjust the armature, add or remove parent controls, and add or remove physics helpers. Documentation is provided to walk through the workflow.
Armacurve can add cloth-based physics to generated setups and enable collision influence when your target objects have Collision modifiers. This is best for simple curve rigs where lightweight motion is enough. Complex curves or too many generated bones can produce unstable Blender cloth behavior, so the developer notes it is a bonus workflow rather than the core purpose. If you need physics on demanding setups, it is worth contacting the developer first to confirm whether Armacurve suits your case.
Armacurve is listed as free in this catalog, and free future updates are included with your purchase according to the developer. For current licensing terms and any purchase details, check the developer's page on Superhive. The developer also invites pre-purchase questions and is happy to clarify workflow details, limitations, and whether Armacurve fits a specific rigging use case, so reaching out is an option if you are unsure about compatibility.
