Assetify earns its place in the superhive library by bundling baking, UV unwrapping, multi-format export, and geometry nodes support into one Blender add-on, with recent updates extending it to animations and Non-Principled BSDF baking.
Assetify is an all-in-one Blender add-on for turning 3D creations into optimized formats ready for game engines, rendering platforms, VR/AR, and 3D printing. It works with simple models and complex procedural setups built on geometry nodes, automating texture baking, UV unwrapping, and asset management along the way.
Baking covers diffuse, roughness, metallic, normal, and alpha textures, with presets for Unreal Engine 5 and Unity that pack maps the way each platform expects. You can bake multiple materials into a single texture package or handle them separately for custom resolutions and per-material UV unwrapping. Exports include FBX, OBJ, GLTF/GLB, and STL, and collection management lets you process whole collections while switching between Asset Mode and Collection Mode.
Version 2 added full animation support, including rigged, physics, shape key, keyframe, geometry node, and particle animations, plus baking of texture sequence sets. Version 2.1 introduced Non-Principled BSDF baking, so mix shaders and other shader setups can bake through a Principled BSDF.
Assetify is best for game developers, indie studios, and 3D artists preparing Blender assets for engines like Unreal Engine 5 and Unity, plus web and AR developers working with GLTF and creators exporting STL files for 3D printing.
Assetify is completely free to download and use.
Assetify exports to FBX, OBJ, GLTF/GLB, and STL. FBX suits most 3D software and game engines like Unreal Engine and Unity, while OBJ works as a universal format for most 3D and VR/AR applications and fits rendering or archiving. GLTF/GLB is the lightweight standard for web-based 3D and AR/VR platforms, and STL targets 3D printing workflows. This range lets you take a single Blender asset out to a game engine, the web, a headset, or a printer depending on which format you choose for the job.
Assetify includes pre-built presets for Unreal Engine 5 and Unity that bake and pack textures according to how they are used on those platforms. For game developers, this means you can export assets with a few clicks targeting either engine. FBX is the format suited to game engines like Unreal Engine and Unity, and the presets handle texture baking and packing to match each platform, reducing the manual setup usually involved in preparing assets for a game pipeline.
Assetify supports Non-Principled BSDF baking as of version 2.1. Blender baking has traditionally required materials set up specifically for a Principled BSDF shader, but Assetify can recreate advanced shader setups, including mix shaders and other BSDF types, in a way that uses a Principled BSDF for baking and produces accurate results. This means you can set up materials in any way you want and bake them with a single click, without first rebuilding them around a Principled BSDF.
Assetify added full animation support in version 2, processing rigged animations, physics animations, shape key animations, keyframe animations, geometry node animations, and particle animations. It can also convert geometry node animations to shape key animations, and cloth simulations to shape keys. On the texture side, it bakes full texture sequence sets for colour, roughness, metallic, alpha, and normal maps. This extends Assetify's baking and exporting beyond static models to animated content.
Assetify is listed here as free. For current licensing terms, any usage conditions, and the latest version details, check the developer's page. The add-on covers texture baking, multi-format export, UV unwrapping, collection management, and geometry nodes support, so it's worth confirming the current release and what it includes directly at the source before you download. A demo video is also available if you want to see more before deciding.
