Auto-tracking is a Blender add-on from developer mcd1992 focused on automating VFX motion tracking. It installs a toolbar in the tracking viewport that automates the process of running detect features and then tracking forward, so points don't have to be placed by hand.
The add-on is aimed at footage that wasn't captured with motion tracking in mind, where the scene has no tracking markers. After Auto-tracking generates its tracks, you can turn to Blender's built-in tools or other extensions to remove and reweight bad tracks. You'll find it in the Movie Clip Editor under Tracking > Clip > Toolbar.
Released as version 1.0.0, Auto-tracking is compatible with Blender 4.2 LTS and newer and is distributed under the GNU General Public License v2.0 or later. It requires no special permissions, and at roughly 3.5 KB it's a small install.
