Why we like it

Baga Pie bundles scattering, parametric architecture and a growing asset collection into one free add-on, and it sits at rank 69 in the superhive library. Future updates are included for all assets.

What is Baga Pie?

Baga Pie brings architecture, environment and vegetation tooling to Blender in a single add-on with over 50 tools. Its scattering system places thousands of objects on any surface and includes Scatter Paint, Camera Culling, Object Proximity, multi-layer support, proxies, layer management and presets.

On the architecture side, parametric generators build stairs, spiral stairs, fences, handrails, tiles, pipes, cables, walls, floors, beams and windows, with 100+ procedural presets available once the library is enabled in Addon Preferences. Random arrays cover circular, linear, grid and curve-based layouts, while Draw Array places picked assets along a curve. An ivy generator offers two growth modes and simulates collisions and gravity, and GeoPack groups geometry nodes and exports them as a shareable .geopack file.

Asset packs install as separate .baga files and set up automatically in the Asset Browser. A Smart Shader adjusts and randomizes the season, and materials are optimized to reduce memory usage using procedural textures, 2K or up to 4K UDIM. BagaPie Modifier is free under GPL/MIT.

Who is Baga Pie best for?

Baga Pie is best for blender artists building architectural scenes and natural environments who need scattering, parametric geometry and ready-made vegetation assets.

How much does Baga Pie cost?

Baga Pie is completely free to download and use.

Frequently asked questions

Which Blender versions does Baga Pie support?

Baga Pie is versioned to match your Blender release. V11 ships with assets for Blender 4.2 and newer, while earlier builds cover older versions: V10 for 3.6, 4.0 and 4.1, V9 for 3.4 and 3.5, V8 for 3.2 through 3.4, V7 for 3.2, V6 for 3.0 and 3.1, V5 for 3.0, and V4 for 2.93. Assets aren't available for versions before V9. Pick the build that matches your Blender install to get the right compatibility.

Is Baga Pie free to use?

Baga Pie is listed as free here. BagaPie Modifier itself is free and can be used for any purpose, with its code licensed under GPL/MIT and its node trees under a royalty-free licence. Textures used in the modifier come from ambientcg.com and polyhaven.com. For the full picture on assets, current terms and any additional packs, check the developer's page, since licensing details can change over time.

How do I install Baga Pie's asset packs?

Baga Pie's asset packs come as separate files. Once the add-on is installed, you install the asset packages named BagaPie_Assets_Vol_X.baga, and BagaPie's library is set up automatically in the Asset Browser. For the parametric presets, enable the library under Addon Preferences > Assets. From there you can pick one or more assets directly from the Asset Browser and tweak a selected asset, with its shader appearing in the panel.

Can I use Baga Pie for commercial projects?

Baga Pie's content is royalty free, so you can use it for both personal and commercial work. You can't sell or share the node trees, textures or models, though sharing with your team is fine, and assets can't be shared even when modified. If you want to modify the node trees to use them elsewhere, the developers say they're open to it and invite you to contact them. Check the developer's page for current license details.
