This free viewer earns its spot in the superhive library by handing Blender users four human hair presets and one-click loading, while the full 3D Hair Brush unlocks its brushes, modifiers, preset library, and rendering tools.
3D Hair Brush Free Viewer is a Blender add-on from VFX Grace that gives you four well-made human hair presets and loads them with a single click. It supports Blender 3.1 or above, and it functions as a viewer for the full 3D Hair Brush tool rather than the complete grooming suite. The full version unlocks all features.
The full 3D Hair Brush is a hair grooming tool that fully supports Blender's new hair system and covers both hairstyles and animal fur effects. It provides 3D brushes for the old particle system and the new hair system, children modifiers such as Length, Noise, and Clump managed hierarchically in a non-destructive, reversible way, and a preset library of 32 male and female hairstyle presets with complete materials and particle systems.
Additional tools include Hair to Hair Cards conversion based on Eevee and Cycles, CyclesHair Render built on and compatible with the Cycles renderer with options like Use Radius Curve and Use Diameter Random, and hair tools for converting curves to hair, adjusting overall length, and exporting ABC files. VFX Grace provides documentation, product updates, and support.
Blender Addon | 3D Hair Brush - Support New Hair System is best for blender artists grooming hair and creating hairstyles or animal fur effects with the new hair system.
Blender Addon | 3D Hair Brush - Support New Hair System is completely free to download and use.
3D Hair Brush Free Viewer supports Blender 3.1 or above, so you'll need a compatible version installed to load its hairstyles. Older Blender releases are not supported. The viewer is built around one-click loading of its included hair presets, and if you want the wider feature set, the full version of 3D Hair Brush unlocks additional tools. For current version details and updates, check VFX Grace's page.
3D Hair Brush is listed as free here in the form of its Free Viewer, which provides four human hair presets at no cost. VFX Grace offers a separate full version that unlocks all features, including more hairstyles. Licensing terms can change, so check VFX Grace's page for the current details on both the viewer and the full version before you rely on either.
3D Hair Brush Free Viewer includes four well-made human hair presets that you can load with a single click. It works as a viewer for the full 3D Hair Brush tool rather than a full grooming suite, so its scope centers on those hairstyles. The full version adds a larger preset library of male and female hairstyles, each with complete materials and particle systems. Documentation is available from VFX Grace for further guidance.
3D Hair Brush fully supports Blender's new hair system in its full version, and its 3D brushes work with both the old particle system and the new hair system. The tool provides multiple hair brushes aimed at making grooming more efficient across both. Alongside the brushes, the full version includes children modifiers, a preset library, Hair to Hair Cards conversion, CyclesHair Render, and hair tools. VFX Grace provides tutorials and a user manual covering these features.
