Complete Quads earns its place in the Blender library for a focused fill workflow that pairs with Blender's built-in Fill tool rather than replacing it.
Complete Quads is an add-on for Blender that fills quads when you have two edges or three vertices selected. It works with selections that share a cornerstone vertex; for other cases, Blender's built-in Fill tool (hotkey F) is the better choice. The add-on supports quads such as rectangles, squares, and parallelograms.
A simple hotkey (Shift+R) triggers the fill, and the add-on includes user-friendly warnings and descriptive tooltips. An optional proximity merge merges by distance based on proximity to the selection. Multi-complete quads lets you complete several quads at the same time, which is helpful with precision stairs and works well alongside Blender's Fill tool.
Complete Quads is accessible from the sidebar (hotkey N) or via View3D > Sidebar > Complete Quads. It supports a wide span of Blender versions, from 2.8 through 4.2, and is released under the GPL license. Feature suggestions and questions can be sent to the developer, Outstanding Move.
Complete Quads is best for blender modelers filling quads from edge pairs or vertices that share a cornerstone vertex.
Complete Quads is completely free to download and use.
Complete Quads supports a broad range of Blender versions, listed as 4.2, 4.1, 4.0, 3.6, 3.5, 3.4, 3.3, 3.2, 3.1, 3.0, 2.93, 2.92, 2.91, 2.9, 2.83, 2.82, 2.81, and 2.8. That span covers both current 4.x releases and older builds going back to the 2.8 series, so most Blender installations should be compatible. Check the developer's page for the latest details before installing.
Complete Quads is accessible from the sidebar in Blender, which you open with the N hotkey, or by navigating to View3D > Sidebar > Complete Quads. Once available, you can trigger the fill with the Shift+R hotkey. The add-on also includes descriptive tooltips and user-friendly warnings to guide selections, and it is designed to work well alongside Blender's built-in Fill tool for cases it does not handle.
Complete Quads is intended for selections where you have two edges or three vertices that share a cornerstone vertex. For selections that do not share a cornerstone vertex, the developer notes it is better to use Blender's built-in Fill tool, reached with the F hotkey. The two tools complement each other, and Complete Quads is described as working well to assist Blender's Fill tool, including with multi-complete quads.
Complete Quads is listed as free in this catalog and is released under the GPL license. Licensing terms can change, so check the developer's page maintained by Outstanding Move for the current licensing and any purchase details before you download. The developer also invites questions and feature suggestions, which can be sent through the 'Ask a Question' option on the product page or by email.
