Copy Nodes Keyframes fills a gap in Blender's regular workflow, where duplicating an animated node means copying its keyframes and rewiring drivers by hand. It's a GPL-licensed add-on with documentation and a demo video, and it carries a single five-star rating, with reviewer Manu Järvinen noting it's great that the add-on exists for this specific task.
Copy Nodes Keyframes is a Blender add-on for duplicating or copying and pasting nodes together with their keyframes, drivers and links. When you duplicate a node group whose nodes carry drivers, the drivers inside are fixed automatically if needed, so you avoid editing variable paths one by one. You can act on several selected nodes at once instead of repeating the process node by node.
The add-on works through both keyboard shortcuts and Sidebar buttons. There are shortcuts for standard duplication, linked duplication, and copy and paste, and you can reassign the shortcut keys straight from the panel. Copy and paste moves nodes into other node trees, with the limitation that you can't paste into the same tree or one nested inside it. Extra options let you replace the last link and view detailed information about each selected node.
Copy Nodes Keyframes targets a gap in Blender's normal workflow, where duplicating an animated node otherwise means copying keyframes and rewiring drivers by hand. It's distributed under the GPL license, supports Blender from version 3.3 to 5.0, and ships with documentation and a demo video.
Copy Nodes Keyframes is best for blender artists who animate node properties and need to duplicate or move nodes without losing their keyframes, drivers and links.
Copy Nodes Keyframes is completely free to download and use.
Copy Nodes Keyframes is listed by its developer as supporting Blender from version 3.3 through 5.0, and it's marked as Blender Extension compatible. That range spans a number of Blender releases. Because version support can shift as Blender itself updates, check the developer's page for the most recent compatibility details before installing. The add-on installs through Blender's standard add-ons process and is distributed under the GPL license.
Installing Copy Nodes Keyframes follows Blender's standard add-on process. Download the zip file, then open Blender and go to Edit, then Preferences, and open the Add-ons tab. Press the Install button, browse to the downloaded zip file, select it and press Install again. Once it appears in the list, click the checkbox to enable it and the add-on is ready to use. Its buttons, options and links, including documentation, also live in the Sidebar.
Copy Nodes Keyframes can copy and paste nodes across node trees, but it has one clear limitation: it can't paste into the same node tree the nodes came from, or into any node tree nested inside that one. For duplicating within a single tree you'd use its duplicate shortcuts instead, which copy the selected nodes along with their keyframes, drivers and links. The copy and paste side is meant for moving node setups between different trees, so plan your workflow around that boundary.
Copy Nodes Keyframes duplicates several selected nodes in a single action rather than one at a time. That includes node groups whose nodes contain drivers, and when needed the drivers inside those groups are fixed automatically, so you don't have to rewrite variable paths by hand. This addresses the situation the developer describes, where duplicating ten nodes the regular way means repeating the same manual copy-and-paste of keyframes for each one. Select the nodes you want and trigger the duplicate shortcut to copy them together.
Copy Nodes Keyframes is listed here as free, though it's offered under the GPL license by its developer, Olivier Crespo Barrio. Licensing and any pricing can change over time, so for the current terms it's best to check the developer's page directly before downloading. The add-on comes with documentation and a demo video to help you get started, and it carries a single five-star rating from a Blender user. That gives you a way to evaluate it before committing to it in a project.
