A file-system convenience add-on that pairs quick folder access with editable global and project bookmarks, with a version history noting 2.8x API fixes.
DuWamf+ (Dude, Where are my folders?) is an add-on for Blender focused on reaching essential folders quickly. From its menu you can open the current file's folder, Blender's installation folder, the render folder if one is set, the scripts (add-ons) folder, the user's Blender resource folder, and the temp folder Blender uses internally.
The plus version extends the free edition with bookmarks. It supports both global bookmarks and project-based bookmarks, and lets you edit each set. If no bookmarks file exists, it creates one in the project folder. Project bookmarks are stored where the currently open .blend file lives, while global bookmarks reside in the add-on's folder.
When the floating menu is enabled, you can use letters to call folders quickly. The add-on works with both Blender 2.79 and 2.80, and the listed Blender versions span from 2.79 through 3.5. It is distributed under a Creative Commons license, with documentation provided by the developer.
Duwamf+ is best for blender users who want fast access to key project and system folders and reusable bookmarks.
Duwamf+ is completely free to download and use.
DuWamf+ works with both Blender 2.79 and 2.80, and the listed Blender versions range from 2.79 through 3.5, covering 2.81, 2.82, 2.83, 2.9, 2.91, 2.92, 2.93, 3.0, 3.1, 3.2, 3.3 and 3.4 as well. A v1.22 release added 2.8x API fixes. If you run one of these Blender versions, check the developer's page for the current build and any details relevant to your exact version before installing.
DuWamf+ keeps two separate bookmark sets. Project bookmarks are stored in a file located where the currently open .blend file lives, while global bookmarks reside in the add-on's folder. You can edit both project and global bookmarks. If no bookmarks file exists, DuWamf+ creates one in the project folder. This separation lets you keep bookmarks tied to a specific project alongside bookmarks available across your work.
DuWamf+ opens several essential Blender folders directly from its menu: the current file's folder, Blender's installation folder, the render folder if one is set, the scripts (add-ons) folder, the user's Blender resource folder, and the temp folder that Blender uses internally. When the floating menu is enabled, you can also use letters to call folders quickly. These folder shortcuts come from the free edition, which DuWamf+ builds on with its bookmark features.
DuWamf+ is listed as free here and is distributed under a Creative Commons license. For the current licensing terms, download options and any conditions attached to use, refer to the developer's page. The add-on comes with documentation provided by the developer, which is the best place to confirm setup details and usage guidance for your Blender version.
