Easy Rigify earns its place in the Superhive library by combining marker-based Rigify metarig alignment with a full set of skinning tools in a single Blender add-on.
Easy Rigify is a rigging workflow for Blender that bridges the gap between your mesh and Rigify. Instead of hand-editing bones in edit mode, you place visual markers you can see in the viewport, run auto-detection, and the add-on handles the alignment math to produce a production-ready Rigify rig.
Body detection covers the spine, hips, knees, feet, and the arm and leg chains from your mesh, with finger detection and step-by-step geometric face detectors that include teeth and tongue. You can generate a Human (No Face) or Human (With Face) Rigify metarig in one click and align all metarig bones to your placed markers automatically, working with standard Rigify human rigs out of the box.
Beyond alignment, the add-on includes skinning tools: Smart Bind for automatic weight painting, Surgical Weight Fix for per-region correction, Weight Symmetrize, Smooth and Transfer, a Joint Cleaner for weight bleeding at joint intersections, and Fan Bones for elbows and knees. A tabbed panel, in-viewport marker hints, an X-Ray toggle, a built-in update checker and one-click bug reporting round out the interface.
Easy Rigify is best for character artists who want a working rig without learning Rigify's bone-by-bone alignment, and studios or freelancers rigging many characters who need a repeatable, fast pipeline.
Easy Rigify is completely free to download and use.
Easy Rigify requires Blender 4.2 or newer, and the listing notes compatibility across Blender versions 4.2 through 5.1. It also requires the Rigify add-on to be enabled, which is included with Blender. The tool works with standard Rigify human rigs out of the box, aligning generated metarig bones to the markers you place on your mesh. Confirm the current supported version range on the developer's page before installing.
Easy Rigify includes production skinning tools alongside its metarig alignment. Smart Bind provides automatic weight painting, while Surgical Weight Fix offers per-region weight correction for areas such as fingers, forearms, shoulders and spine. A Weight Symmetrize, Smooth and Transfer toolkit covers broader weight editing, the Joint Cleaner removes weight bleeding at joint intersections, and Fan Bones add volume preservation to elbows and knees. These sit alongside the marker-based detection and alignment features.
Easy Rigify offers face detection through step-by-step geometric detectors that give full control, including teeth and tongue. When generating the metarig, you can choose a Human (With Face) or a Human (No Face) Rigify metarig depending on your needs. Both options generate in one click and align to your placed markers automatically. The in-viewport marker hints guide correct placement, so you position the visible markers rather than hand-editing bones in edit mode.
Easy Rigify is listed as free in this catalog, so check the developer's page for current licensing terms before you download. The add-on is licensed under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later. It is distributed as a Blender add-on extension type, and the listing names Cycles and Eevee as the render engines used. For the latest details on support and updates, refer to the developer's page.
