Easyclay earns its place in the superhive library for turning a scene-wide clay override into a one-click, non-destructive step that leaves displacement, normal, and opacity maps intact.
Easyclay is a Blender add-on from Minshu that applies a clean clay material across an entire scene in one click, without wrecking the original material setup. It works non-destructively, so the maps that matter stay in place while the scene takes on a uniform clay look.
The add-on preserves displacement, bump and normal detail, and opacity maps, keeping alpha and cutout materials intact. Preserve toggles keep emission materials lit and glass materials transparent, so light-emitting and see-through surfaces aren't overridden. Include and exclude lists let you fine-tune exactly which materials get the clay treatment, and clay blending mixes between the original and the clay material.
Setup, update, and removal of the overrides each happen in one click. Easyclay runs with Cycles and Eevee and supports Blender 4.3 through 5.0, aimed at look-dev, client reviews, and portfolio rendering. A demo video is available on the developer's page.
Easyclay is best for look-dev, client reviews, and portfolio rendering where a consistent clay look is needed without altering original materials.
Easyclay is completely free to download and use.
Easyclay supports Blender 4.3 through 5.0 and is listed as a Blender extension of the add-on type. It works with both the Cycles and Eevee render engines, so the clay override applies in either without a separate setup. If you are on a version outside the 4.3 to 5.0 range, check the developer's page before installing to confirm the add-on will load correctly in your build of Blender.
Easyclay applies the clay look in a non-destructive way, so it does not wreck your original material setup. It preserves displacement maps, bump and normal detail, and opacity maps, and preserve toggles keep emission materials lit and glass materials transparent. You can also use include and exclude lists to control exactly which materials get overridden, and removal of the overrides happens in one click, returning the scene to its original state when you are done.
Easyclay works with both Cycles and Eevee, so you can apply the scene-wide clay material in either render engine. The clay blending control lets you mix between the original and clay material, and the preserve toggles for emission and glass keep light-emitting and transparent surfaces behaving as expected in both engines. This makes it usable across look-dev, review, and portfolio rendering regardless of which of the two supported engines your project relies on.
Easyclay is listed as free in this catalog, so we do not quote a figure here. Licensing and any purchase options can change over time, so check the developer's page on superhive for the current terms before you download. That page is also where you will find the add-on itself, its documentation, and a demo video covering the clay override workflow in Blender.
