EyeForge earns its place in the superhive library by bundling iris presets, color and shape controls, and shader-based fake shadows and reflections into one N-panel addon that runs in both Eevee and Cycles.
EyeForge is a Blender addon from PixelicaCG for building character eyes across three styles — Realistic, Stylized, and Anime — with each style offering 10 preset iris designs for 30 switchable iris types in total. The Realistic style relies on normal, displacement, and specular maps, and every control sits in a panel that opens when you press N.
Iris color can be set with a slider or a custom gradient, alongside adjustable sclera color, vein intensity, iris edge hardness, and iris bump detail. Shape options cover pupil shape, pupil size, iris size, cornea bulge size, and an oval iris button that reshapes the iris for an anime look.
Fake shadows and 10 fake reflections add depth and a glossy look within the shader, without extra lights, and the lacrimal caruncle and tear line can be imported as separate objects. The addon works with both Eevee and Cycles — Eevee needs Ray Tracing enabled — and its shader enhancements are fully procedural. Blender 3.6 and older are not supported.
Eyeforge (Ultimate Eye Generator Addon is best for blender artists creating eyes for realistic humans, stylized creatures, or anime characters.
Eyeforge (Ultimate Eye Generator Addon is completely free to download and use.
EyeForge works with both of Blender's render engines, Eevee and Cycles. For Eevee you'll need to turn on Ray Tracing in the render settings and enable the addon's "Eevee Ready" option. The shader enhancements are fully procedural, kept flexible for adjustments. Keep in mind that Blender 3.6 and older versions are not supported, so you'll want a newer release to use it.
EyeForge does not support Blender 3.6 or older, so you'll need a more recent version to run it. An earlier update, 1.69, fixed incompatibilities with Blender 4.0 and 4.1, corrected an issue where the iris appeared too dark in older versions, and fixed the pupil being lit by light. The addon's controls are reached through its N-panel interface. For exact version details, check the developer's page.
EyeForge is listed as free in this catalog. Licensing terms can change over time, so for the current details and any conditions attached to downloading or using the addon, check the developer's page on superhive. Once installed, you get access to the full set of iris presets, color and shape controls, and the shader-based fake shadow and reflection options described here, all managed from the N panel inside Blender.
EyeForge keeps all of its controls in Blender's N panel, so you open the interface by pressing N in the viewport. From there you can switch between the 30 iris types, adjust eye and sclera color, change pupil and iris size, tweak edge hardness, and adjust the fake shadows and reflections. The import function for the lacrimal caruncle and tear line is handled the same way, bringing those in as separate objects.
EyeForge version 1.80 added an adjustable pupil shape slider, a Flat/Round Cornea option, and a Save/Load Preset feature. The preceding 1.70 update introduced a Disable Veins option, while 1.69 addressed compatibility with Blender 4.0 and 4.1 and corrected an issue where the iris rendered too dark in older Blender versions. Together these updates expand the shape and preset controls available from the N panel.
