Mesh Slicer For Parametric Design is a Blender addon from BlenddON that slices any 3D mesh into curves, working with high-poly and low-poly models alike. You select a single object with a left click, set the number of slices and the space between them, and press Slice to generate the cuts across the mesh.
The addon's menu sits on the left side of the 3D view window; press N to toggle the sidebar if it isn't visible. After creating the slices you can add a solidify modifier to give them thickness for visualizing and using them in a project. To prepare them for cutting, disable that modifier and hit apply so every slice becomes a vector curve, then set a folder, name the SVG file, and export.
The exported SVG curves suit CNC machines including laser cutters, routers, and plasma cutters, and the tool also targets parametric designs for furniture, decoration, and architectural visualization. Slice curves are separated and enumerated in a layer, ready for vector software and fabrication.
