Fastactions earns its place in the superhive library by consolidating scattered Blender operators into one F6 pie menu, and by extending stock tools like the Shift+G relation menu to work on multiple objects at once. Worth noting: the Edit Mode operators depend on the F2 and Looptools add-ons, which come with Blender but aren't enabled by default.
Fastactions is a utility add-on for Blender, built by Noodleware to shorten the path to operators that usually sit several menus deep. Pressing F6 opens a pie menu that collects these tools in one place, along with operators that would normally require several separate calls.
In Object Mode it can create a collection from selected objects, named after the active object, with content linked or moved and an option to compensate the instancing offset. Transform entries align objects to the 3D cursor or active object, make them "look at" a target, and Apply Scale Linked works even on linked objects that aren't in the viewport. Selection tools save and load selections to slots and pick objects by traits, while batch relation operators extend the Shift+G menu to accept multiple starting objects.
Edit Mode adds boundary loop, edge ring and checker selections plus geometry operators for domes, holes and tubes; some are marked experimental. These require the F2 and Looptools add-ons, which ship with Blender but need enabling. A demo video is available.
Fastactions is best for blender users who want quicker access to deeply nested operators, plus batch selection and object-relation tools that work across multiple selected objects.
Fastactions is completely free to download and use.
Fastactions opens through a pie menu bound to F6, giving quick access to operators that normally sit deep inside Blender's menus. The add-on also gathers operations that would otherwise take several separate operator calls, so a single entry point covers General, Object Mode and Edit Mode tools. As of the 2024.04.23 update the keymap is rebindable, so you can reassign the shortcut if F6 conflicts with another binding already in your setup.
Fastactions relies on the F2 and Looptools add-ons, both of which ship with Blender. By default they are not activated, so you need to enable them before the Fastactions operators in Edit Mode will work correctly. Once those are on, the Edit Mode selection and geometry tools, such as boundary loop selection, edge rings and loops, checker deselect, and the tube operators, function as intended. Enabling them is a one-time step in Blender's add-on preferences.
Fastactions is listed as free in this catalog. For current licensing terms and any conditions of use, check the developer's page. The add-on comes from Noodleware, and the developer also links a feedback thread on BlenderArtists where users can report errors or share suggestions. Since terms can change over time, the developer's page and that thread are the best places to confirm details before you rely on them in a project.
Fastactions added a rebindable keymap in the 2024.04.23 update, so the F6 pie menu shortcut can be reassigned to suit your workflow. That same update expanded the selection operators with options such as select by UV map name, UV map count, object color, material count and parent count, along with tools for naming objects from materials, collections, data blocks or instances. It's a sizeable set of additions layered onto the existing General, Object and Edit Mode operators.
