Ai Depth Modeller
by 3d illusions
Ai Depth Modeller generates 3D models inside Blender from an image or as you paint in the 2D image editor. The AI runs locally on your machine to produce depth maps, then sliders and paint tools shape the result.

Named a Staff Pick in February 2025, Figaro stands out in the superhive library for extending ZSphere- and Skin-modifier-style concepts into a workflow for building more complex base-mesh shapes.
Figaro - Fast Base Meshes is a Blender tool for creating base meshes for characters and creatures. It works by letting you add volumes around vertices, edges, and faces, with each volume's shape determined by interpolating the radius assigned to each vertex. The approach is based on tools like ZBrush's ZSpheres and Blender's Skin modifier, extending their core concepts to allow for more complex shapes.
Stick figure modeling uses points and edges to define shapes and adjust volumes, with each edge interpolating between the radii of neighboring vertices. Beyond points and edges, Figaro supports solid faces for more complex forms. One-click voxelization converts an object into a voxel mesh for sculpting, with control over voxel size, adaptivity, and shading in the side panel. A Template Manager spawns and manages custom Figaro templates, and Figaro objects integrate with Blender's modifier stack.
Figaro is compatible with Blender 4.5 and above, and installation instructions are included in the provided files and the documentation. It was a Staff Pick in February 2025 and is listed here as free.
Figaro - Fast Base Meshes is best for 3D artists building character and creature base meshes in Blender who want to define forms with points, edges, and faces before moving into sculpting.
Figaro - Fast Base Meshes is completely free to download and use.
Figaro - Fast Base Meshes is compatible with Blender 4.5 and above. A November 21, 2025 update addressed compatibility issues related to Blender 5.0, and because of changes to Geometry Nodes and several API items, the minimum working version became Blender 4.5. If you are running an earlier release, you would need to update Blender before using this version. For details on the current requirements, the developer's page and the Figaro documentation cover compatibility.
Figaro - Fast Base Meshes includes installation instructions within the provided files and in the documentation section of the developer's page, with more detailed documentation linked there as well. A July 3, 2026 update removed the 3D Mage Addon Wrangler dependency, so you now only need to install Figaro itself to add the tool, rather than installing a separate wrangler first. Following the included instructions is the recommended path for getting it set up.
Figaro - Fast Base Meshes is listed here as free, and for current licensing terms you should check the developer's page. Once installed, you get the base-mesh workflow along with additional add-ons noted by the developer, including Select by Texture, Vertex Volumes, Grid Snap Plus, and a Directory Batch Exporter. Installation instructions and documentation are provided to help you get started with the tool.
Figaro - Fast Base Meshes uses stick figure modeling, where points and edges define shapes and each edge interpolates between the radii of neighboring vertices. To change the radius on selected vertices in Edit Mode, press Shift + R. For a vertex connected to only one edge, Split & Pull can split it into two vertices to form a triangle based on the source edge direction and your camera angle, activated with Shift + U on a valid selection.
