Why we like it

Part of the FIT-Exporter add-on family, with further shader node support noted to follow or available by request.

What is Fit Baker?

FIT Baker, short for Fast Image Texture Baker, is a Blender add-on from EBTRR for baking node inputs to image textures. It takes an input from a Principled BSDF, Bump or Displacement node and bakes it with your settings, such as resolution and samples, then saves the result internally.

The add-on lets you select an object, choose different bake options and apply presets for the resolution. It currently works with objects that have only one slot, and it can run the bake with or without replacing connections. FIT Baker is part of the FIT-Exporter add-on, an image batch exporter.

Currently the Principled BSDF, Bump and Displacement shader and vector nodes are supported as bake inputs, with further shader nodes noted to follow or available by request. Documentation is included, and the developer offers support through Discord and the Blender Market contact form for questions, feature requests and bug reports. A demo video is available.

Who is Fit Baker best for?

Fit Baker is best for blender users baking Principled BSDF, Bump or Displacement node inputs to image textures.

How much does Fit Baker cost?

Frequently asked questions

Which Blender versions does FIT Baker support?

FIT Baker lists support for Blender versions 3.0, 3.1, 3.2, 3.3 and 3.4. If you work in one of these releases you can bake Principled BSDF, Bump and Displacement node inputs to image textures. For versions outside this range, check the developer's page for the latest compatibility details before installing, as support information there reflects current status more accurately than any single listing.

What nodes can FIT Baker bake from?

FIT Baker currently uses the Principled BSDF, Bump and Displacement shader and vector nodes as inputs for baking. It takes the chosen input and bakes it with your settings, such as resolution and samples, saving the result internally. The developer notes that further shader nodes will follow or can be added by request, so the supported node list may expand over time. Check the developer's page or Discord for the current set of supported nodes.

Does FIT Baker work with objects that have multiple material slots?

FIT Baker currently works with objects that have only one slot. If your object uses a single slot, you can select it, choose your bake options and apply resolution presets before baking a Principled BSDF, Bump or Displacement input. For multi-slot setups, this limitation is worth noting before you plan a bake. The developer accepts feature requests and bug reports through Discord or the Blender Market contact form.

Is FIT Baker free?

FIT Baker is listed as free in this catalog. Licensing and pricing can change over time, so for the current terms it is best to check the developer's page directly. FIT Baker is released under the GPL license and is part of the FIT-Exporter add-on. For questions about licensing or the product itself, EBTRR provides support through Discord and the Blender Market contact form.
