Glared2 is a real-time light-effects add-on for Blender that generates lens-based enhancements inside the Realtime Compositor. It works in screen space, using the actual luminance values of your scene, so effects update instantly in the viewport. Highlights drive the intensity and distribution of the glares, with no manual masking required, and it responds dynamically to lighting changes rather than relying on physically-based glare nodes or traditional post-processing filters.
The add-on runs through a single nodegroup placed automatically at the end of the compositor pipeline, and every control is exposed in the add-on panel in Blender's UI, so no compositor knowledge is needed. You can adjust parameters while moving objects, lights, or the camera, and each control is keyframe-able for animation. It's compatible with both Eevee and Cycles, and works on 3D scenes, image sequences, still images, video plates, and VFX shots.
Version 2 adds the ability to export each light-effect pass separately as EXR, either as a single multi-layer file or as multiple files, for further work in DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, Fusion, Nuke, or another external compositor.
