Why we like it

Earns its place in the superhive library for its CopyGraph approach, which transfers the shape and feel of an F-curve to other curves rather than copying keyframe values. Version 1.1 added the Presets section and renamed the Flipped Paste button to Mirror.

What is Graphtools?

GraphTools is a Blender add-on built for working with animation F-curves, organized into three parts: SmartKeys, CopyGraph, and Presets. SmartKeys provides a Run All Cleanups button that removes keyframes which don't affect the animation across all selected animated objects in a single click.

CopyGraph focuses on transferring the shape of a curve rather than its raw values. It analyzes the shape and feel of an F-curve, letting you copy an entire easing and timing pattern and paste it to multiple targets while keeping their own start and end values. You can also copy the segment between a selected group of keyframes, such as an overshoot, a bounce, or an ease-in or ease-out, and apply it to other F-curves that have the same number of selected keyframes. Handle types are set to Free automatically for accurate shape reproduction, and pasting can be mirrored.

The Presets section adds 24 commonly used easing patterns you can apply with a single click. GraphTools is compatible with Blender 3.6 through 4.5 and is distributed under the GPL license.

Who is Graphtools best for?

Graphtools is best for blender animators working in the graph editor who want to clean up keyframes, reuse curve shapes across F-curves, and apply preset easing patterns.

How much does Graphtools cost?

Graphtools is completely free to download and use.

Key features

  • SmartKeys Run All Cleanups: a one-click cleanup across all selected animated objects that removes keyframes which don't affect the animation
  • CopyGraph: copy the entire easing and timing pattern from one F-curve and paste it to multiple target F-curves, keeping their start and end values
  • Copy the curve segment between a selected group of keyframes, such as an overshoot, bounce, or ease-in/out, and apply it to other F-curves with the same number of selected keyframes
  • Automatically sets handle types to 'Free' for accurate shape reproduction
  • Presets section with 24 commonly used easing patterns applied with a single click
  • Mirror button for pasting a curve shape in a mirrored manner (renamed from 'Flipped Paste' in v1.1)

Frequently asked questions

Does GraphTools work with Blender 4.5?

GraphTools is compatible with Blender 3.6 and up, including the newest 4.5, and ships as a Blender extension add-on. Version 1.1, released in August 2025, added the Presets section and renamed the Flipped Paste button to Mirror. The developer states that updates are provided free to all customers. If you run a version in the 3.6 to 4.5 range you should be covered; for anything newer, check the developer's page to confirm the current supported range before installing.

How does GraphTools' CopyGraph copy a curve's shape instead of its values?

GraphTools' CopyGraph analyzes the shape and feel of an F-curve rather than copying keyframe values directly. You can copy the entire easing and timing pattern from one F-curve and paste it to multiple targets, keeping their own start and end values while applying the copied feel. You can also copy the segment between a selected group of keyframes, such as an overshoot or ease-in/out, and apply it to other F-curves that have the same number of selected keyframes. It automatically sets handle types to Free for accurate shape reproduction.

What does the Run All Cleanups button in GraphTools do?

GraphTools includes a SmartKeys section whose Run All Cleanups button performs a one-click cleanup across all selected animated objects. It removes keyframes that don't affect the animation, so you can thin out redundant keys without changing the resulting motion. This is one of the add-on's three main parts, alongside CopyGraph for transferring curve shapes and the Presets section for applying easing patterns. Together they cover keyframe cleanup, motion transfer, and ready-made easing from a single interface.

Is GraphTools free, and what license does it use?

GraphTools is listed as free here, and it's distributed under the GPL license. For the current price or licensing terms, check the developer's page, since those details can change over time. The add-on ships as a Blender extension, and the developer states that updates are provided free to all customers.
