HeadsUp Warnings is an add-on for Blender that surfaces UI warnings to help you avoid and resolve common mistakes. It overlays warnings in the 3D viewport and compositor, highlighting settings that are potentially destructive so you can catch them before they affect your work. The feedback comes through color-coded UI borders and direct on-screen messages, updating in real time.
The add-on ships with 50+ conditions to be warned about, and each can be toggled through the Addon Preferences. Many warnings are context-aware, appearing only when the relevant situation applies. Edit-Mode specific warnings, for instance, show only while you are in Edit-Mode. Alongside each warning, the add-on offers information about the issue and how to resolve it.
HeadsUp Warnings does not fix problems for you; there is no one-click resolve. Its role is to keep you aware of odd or easily forgotten settings. It supports Blender 4.2 LTS and newer, and the developer notes it can be installed in lower versions, tested down to Blender 3.3. It is distributed under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later.
