Why we like it

A free add-on distributed on GitHub, covering camera, animation and rendering utilities in one panel across Blender's animation and viewport editors.

What is Kyokaz's Toolbox?

Kyokaz's Toolbox groups camera, animation and rendering utilities into a single Blender add-on. Its Quick Camera system operates the camera through a pie menu (default keybind "V", customizable in Preferences) to add cameras, bind shot markers to the current frame, copy camera or shot attributes to a new camera, and set default settings applied to every new camera. A Camera & Shot List shows information such as frame range and total frames, and you can set a preview range per shot, mark up to 8 favorite cameras for the pie menu, and add notes or annotations with adjustable font, background color and size.

The animation tools let you toggle default interpolation between Constant and Bezier, and bake, add or delete keyframes across a range using custom steps. Rendering tools include disabling render for hidden objects (with an excluded collection option), viewport render animation and snapshot buttons, and render presets that import and export as JSON.

The toggle button appears in the N-Panel across the Timeline, Action, Graph, Dope Sheet and Viewport editors under a 'Toolbox' panel, with camera and render tools also available in Scene Properties.

Frequently asked questions

Which Blender editors does Kyokaz's Toolbox add its panels to?

Kyokaz's Toolbox places a toggle button in the N-Panel of the Timeline, Action, Graph, Dope Sheet and Viewport editors under a 'Toolbox' panel. The animation tools appear in the animation-related quick panels (Timeline, Action, Graph and Dope Sheet editors), while the Quick Camera and rendering tools are found in the Toolbox panel, which can be turned off, or in Scene Properties. This spread lets you reach the relevant tools from whichever editor you are working in.

How do I open the Quick Camera pie menu in Kyokaz's Toolbox?

Kyokaz's Toolbox opens its Quick Camera pie menu with the "V" keybind by default, which you can change in the Preferences settings. From the pie menu you can operate the camera, add a new camera, add a shot with a bound marker, and access up to 8 favorite cameras. It lets you control much of what you need without opening the camera properties directly, keeping camera operations within reach during your work.
