LandXML Import Export brings LandXML data in and out of Blender for geodetic, terrain, and construction workflows where real-world coordinates matter. On import it reads TIN surfaces, breaklines, contours, boundaries, CgPoints, and PlanFeatures, letting you inspect existing LandXML data. On export it writes TIN surfaces and breaklines, so you can prepare machine control data for GPS-guided earthworks and construction.
Built around real-world positioning, the add-on gives control over the coordinate reference of the Blender origin, axis orientation, the XY order used in the LandXML file, origin calculation from a known survey point, and centered import with preserved coordinate reference. Metric and imperial units are supported: LandXML units are detected automatically on import, geometry is converted internally to Blender meters (1 BU = 1 m), and reference values stay in the original survey units.
During export, TIN surfaces are generated from mesh faces and triangulated automatically, while breaklines come from separate edge-only mesh objects that must each form a single connected non-branching polyline. Both are gathered from the active collection, and invalid breakline objects are skipped and reported. The interface sits in the 3D Viewport N panel under Survey.
