Earns its place in the Superhive library by consolidating Blender lighting controls, including Cycles light linking, into a single panel.
ZA Lighting Manager is a lighting workflow add-on for Blender built to make complex lighting setups faster, cleaner, and easier to control. Rather than working through the Outliner and adjusting lights individually, it collects the most useful lighting controls into one organized panel. The Light Lister gives an overview of the lights in a scene, letting you select, solo, toggle on or off, and adjust values such as color, power, exposure, and size/radius directly from the panel.
Light linking is simplified to selecting the light, selecting the objects, pressing +, then choosing Include or Exclude, with a left/right drag menu for moving objects between the scene list and the linked list. The Light Target Picker aims a selected light toward a target object via a created Empty, and Match Camera Exposure analyzes the camera view brightness to adjust exposure-related values toward a target.
Additional tools generate and preview light animation over a frame range, scan the scene for emissive materials, and provide a Light Mixer with channel-based controls and atmosphere presets. Default channels include Key, Fill, Rim, Warm, Cool, Background, and Practical, with presets like Neutral, Sepia, Warm, and Cool.
Light Lister And Manager is best for blender artists managing large scenes, product renders, studio setups, and cinematic shots where lighting control can become messy.
Light Lister And Manager is completely free to download and use.
ZA Lighting Manager simplifies Blender's light linking by letting you select the light, select the objects, and press + to join them into a linked group. You then choose Include or Exclude. A left/right drag menu moves objects between the scene object list and the linked object list, and CTRL + LMB selects more objects on the list. This is aimed at making Cycles light linking more practical for real production work, avoiding manual setup through Blender's settings for each light.
The Match Camera Exposure tool in ZA Lighting Manager analyzes the brightness of your current camera view and adjusts exposure-related values toward a target result. It is intended to give a faster starting point for balancing scene lighting, particularly during look development and render testing. Combined with the Light Lister, which exposes power and exposure values directly in the panel, it fits into a workflow focused on adjusting lighting without hunting through the Outliner.
ZA Lighting Manager includes an emission object scanner that scans your scene for objects using emission materials. This helps locate mesh lights, glowing objects, practical lights, screens, signs, and other emissive materials that may affect the look of your render. Finding these emissive contributors makes it easier to account for objects beyond standard lights when reviewing how a scene is lit, alongside the add-on's other controls collected in one panel.
ZA Lighting Manager is listed as free in this catalog. For current licensing terms and any conditions of use, check the developer's page on Superhive. Documentation is provided with the add-on, and a demo video is available. The add-on brings its lighting tools, including the Light Lister, light linking, target picker, exposure matching, animation, emission scanning, and the Light Mixer, into one Blender panel.
