Locationsaver covers both object and 3D cursor positioning from a single list, which is what sets it apart in the Superhive add-on library.
Locationsaver is a Blender add-on from KVD for storing the location and rotation of selected objects. Pressing Store Object Location saves the position and rotation of one or more selected objects to a list, adding a visible marker to track each saved location. An arrow button in the list selects the linked object in the scene. If an object is moved afterward, Return Object sends it back to its stored location, while Return Multiple Objects returns several objects at once using checkboxes in the list.
Move To Selected Location moves any selected object to a chosen location from the list. Locations can be deleted individually or replaced, and Delete All Stored Locations clears the list along with its markers. A Hide Object Markers option keeps the markers out of view.
The add-on also stores 3D cursor locations. Store Cursor Location saves the cursor's position and rotation with a marker, and Return Cursor To Selected Location moves the cursor to a chosen entry. A Marker Rotation To 0,0,0 option can set the marker or moved object to zero rotation. Cursor markers can be hidden, deleted, or replaced.
Locationsaver is best for blender users who need to save object and 3D cursor positions and return them precisely.
Locationsaver is completely free to download and use.
Locationsaver lists compatibility with Blender 4.0, 3.6, 3.5, 3.4, 3.3, 3.2, 3.1, and 3.0. That range covers several 3.x releases through 4.0, so most projects on those versions can use the add-on. If you are on a newer Blender release, check the developer's page for updated compatibility details before relying on it in production.
Locationsaver stores an object's location and rotation to a list when you press Store Object Location, adding a visible marker at that spot. After you move the object, pressing Return Object sets it back to its stored location. To bring several objects back at once, select their entries with the checkboxes in the list and press Return Multiple Objects. Entries can also be deleted or replaced with new locations at any time.
Locationsaver can store the 3D cursor's location and rotation with the Store Cursor Location button, which adds a visible marker. Return Cursor To Selected Location moves the cursor to a chosen entry in the list, which helps position a newly added object at that spot. The Marker Rotation To 0,0,0 option can set the marker, or a moved object, to zero rotation. Cursor markers can be hidden, deleted, or replaced.
Locationsaver is listed as free in this catalog and is distributed under the GPL license. For current licensing terms and any purchase details, check the developer's page directly. A demo video is also available if you want to see the add-on before installing. The listing notes the add-on has recorded over ten sales and was published by KVD on Superhive.
