What is Mergetools?

The generated result lives as a separate Fusion Object, linked back to the source meshes and driven by Geometry Nodes. When the shape is approved, bake to real geometry; when blend data is present, MergeTools converts internal attributes into a standard UV layer and real material slots. Does Mergetools work with Blender 5.1 or older versions?

Mergetools requires Blender 5.1 or newer, since it relies on the Geometry Nodes sockets and SDF nodes that older versions may not include. Can Mergetools merge curves or text objects?

Mergetools works on selected mesh objects only. Curves, text, volumes, and other object types are not supported directly, so you should convert them to mesh before merging. Converting non-mesh objects to mesh first ensures the boolean, fillet, and welding tools have real geometry to operate on.
