Import only by design; the developer offers a separate companion add-on, "Export Each", for exporting objects to .blend, FBX, and OBJ.
Multi Blend File Merger is a batch import add-on for Blender built for artists working with large asset libraries, team projects, or modular workflows. It lets you select dozens or hundreds of .blend files and merge them into your current project in a single operation, with a real-time progress bar showing the import as it happens.
Each imported file is placed into its own collection named after the file, keeping the Outliner organized. Imported data is preserved intact, including collections, armatures and rigging, shape keys, materials and shaders, textures and images, animations and keyframes, modifiers and constraints, and parent-child hierarchies. Live scene statistics give an instant count of collections and objects. The tool runs from a one-click button inside the 3D View sidebar.
The workflow is straightforward: press N in the 3D Viewport, open the Multi Import tab, click Merge Multiple Blend Files, then Ctrl+Click to select multiple .blend files and watch them merge automatically. Note that this add-on is import only. For exporting, the developer offers a companion add-on called "Export Each".
Multi Blend File Merger - Batch Import With Into One Project is best for character artists, environment artists, game developers, and animation studios consolidating multiple .blend files or building large-scale modular scenes.
Multi Blend File Merger - Batch Import With Into One Project is completely free to download and use.
Multi Blend File Merger lists compatibility with Blender versions 3.0 through 5.2. It is provided as an add-on and is marked as Blender Extension compatible. The listed render engines used are Cycles and Eevee. If you work across several Blender installations, check that your version falls within the supported 3.0 to 5.2 range before installing, and refer to the developer's page for the most current compatibility details.
Multi Blend File Merger runs from the 3D Viewport sidebar. Press N in the 3D Viewport, open the Multi Import tab, then click Merge Multiple Blend Files. Select multiple .blend files using Ctrl + Click and watch the progress bar as the files merge automatically into your current scene. Each imported file creates its own collection named after the file, keeping the Outliner organized. The developer suggests testing with a few files before running a large batch.
Multi Blend File Merger is import only. It merges multiple .blend files into your current project and does not export. If you need exporting, the developer offers a separate companion add-on called "Export Each", which exports every object into separate .blend, FBX, and OBJ files. For details on that companion tool, check the developer's page rather than expecting export functionality from this add-on itself.
Multi Blend File Merger is listed as free in this catalog. It is distributed under the GPL license. Because licensing and pricing can change over time, check the developer's page for the current terms before downloading. A demo video is also available if you want to see the add-on before installing it into your Blender setup.
