Octane Light Studio is a lighting workflow built for Blender's Octane Render integration. It lives in the 3D Viewport sidebar, keeping every tool accessible on each light without switching tabs or hunting through menus. Clicking Create adds a light to the selected layer, and it works with the free version of Octane Render.
Lights can be grouped into layers and controlled as a unit, with a master intensity slider that scales the group proportionally, a power toggle for the whole layer, and a collapsible structure to keep the panel readable. Six placement tools — Move & Aim, Aim Only, Lift & Aim, Slide, Rim Light, and Front Light — let you position lights by clicking directly on surfaces, with adjustable smoothing for each.
The Adjust panel exposes real-time gimbal sliders for Rotation, Height, Distance, Lift, Slide, and Size, all showing absolute real-world values. Eight position presets jump to common angles, three orbit modes control how the light moves, and light names and intensity values appear on each beam in the viewport. Setups can be saved for reuse across projects.
