Cross Section Maker
by Tiemen's addons
Cross Section Maker is a Blender add-on that creates a cross-section from a mesh. The cross-section can be projected to the XY plane so it exports cleanly as a DXF file for use in CAD software.

Part of the wider PGT (Procedural Generator Toolkit) ecosystem, the add-on ships with ready .blend files for both Cycles and Octane renderers.
PGT Crystal Generator is an add-on for Blender that generates customizable crystals and lets you work with a set of dedicated tools. It belongs to the PGT (Procedural Generator Toolkit) ecosystem and is offered as Crystal Generator V2. The workflow is built around a series of operations: Crystal Base Creation, Crack Formation, Retopology, Quick Modifier Application, Imperfection Addition, Mesh Fracturing and Crack Detailing.
Operations can be run individually, in any sequence you prefer, or all at once through the 'Run All Operations' tab. The parameters of every operation can be adjusted to suit your design, and the operations can be applied to any mesh input. Alongside the core tools, the add-on includes experimental features: Rokify for generating rocks from any mesh, Scatter functionality for distributing crystals within a scene, and a Geometry Nodes-based method of generating crystals.
The download provides the add-on zip file along with exclusive .blend files for both Cycles and Octane featuring the crystal materials shown on the product page. Support is available through the developer's Instagram and Discord community.
Pgt Crystal Generator is best for blender artists generating customizable crystals, rocks and fractured meshes.
Pgt Crystal Generator is completely free to download and use.
PGT Crystal Generator is installed from its downloaded zip file without unzipping it. In Blender, open Edit > Preferences, go to the Add-ons section, use the arrow menu to choose Install from disk, and select the zip. A Procedural Generator Toolkit entry then appears in the Add-ons list, which you enable by checking its box. If this is not your first PGT product, restart Blender afterward. Once done, the PGT tab is accessible in the sidebar of the 3D viewport, opened with the N shortcut.
PGT Crystal Generator's installation guide instructs Blender 4.2+ users to install Cell Fracture first. In the Preferences window, navigate to the Get Extensions section, search for Cell Fracture in the search bar, and click Install to proceed. This step is listed before installing the add-on itself. After Cell Fracture and the add-on are in place, enable the Procedural Generator Toolkit entry and restart Blender if you have installed a PGT product before.
PGT Crystal Generator lets you incorporate its operations on any mesh input. The operations—Crystal Base Creation, Crack Formation, Retopology, Quick Modifier Application, Imperfection Addition, Mesh Fracturing and Crack Detailing—can be applied individually, in any sequence, or all at once via the 'Run All Operations' tab. The parameters of every operation can be adjusted to suit your design. The experimental Rokify feature also generates rocks from any mesh, extending what you can do with existing geometry.
PGT Crystal Generator is listed as free in this catalog. For current licensing details, check the developer's page directly. The download includes the add-on zip file along with exclusive .blend files for both Cycles and Octane that feature the crystal materials showcased on the product page. For questions or feedback, the developer offers support through Instagram and a Discord community. A demo video is also available.
