Place Helper earns its spot in the blender_extensions library for bundling placement, transform, scatter and physics tools into a single add-on. Version 2.0.0 adds the brush-based Scatter Tool and refines the existing tools. It is released under GPL v3.0 or later, with source on the developer's GitHub page.
Place Helper is a Blender add-on that groups several object placement and transform tools into one package. Transform Pro lets you left-drag to move objects directly in the viewport, duplicate while moving with Shift or Alt+drag, and extrude mesh geometry with Shift+drag in Edit Mode. The Place Tool drags objects onto surfaces with normal alignment and collision detection, and Alt+click sets the placement axis.
The Scatter Tool adds brush-based scattering with density, radius and scale controls that support pressure sensitivity and random ranges. It includes slope and height filters, an image-based density mask, and a Limit to Surface option to skip samples outside the target. Dynamic Place applies gravity simulation and force field effects by dragging or scaling selected objects.
A Tool Help overlay is available in English or Chinese with a toolbar toggle, and pressing Esc on any tool exits to the built-in Box Select tool. Version 2.0.0 introduces the Scatter Tool and fixes several crashes and startup warnings. Place Helper is licensed under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later.

Place Helper's Scatter Tool supports pressure sensitivity for radius, density and scale, so a pressure-enabled tablet can vary those values as you paint. Random ranges for the same parameters are configurable through popover menus, and custom UI icons mark the pressure and random settings. You can adjust the brush radius with Alt+wheel or the bracket keys, and Ctrl+drag erases scattered instances.
Place Helper 2.0.0 introduces the brush-based Scatter Tool, adds a Tool Help overlay in English and Chinese, and lets Esc exit any tool to the built-in Box Select tool. This release also fixes crashes on undo in the scatter tool, tools becoming inactive after opening a new scene or reloading a file, and several startup warnings. Overall code quality was improved across all tools.
