PomoFocus earns its place in the superhive library as a Blender-native take on the Pomodoro Technique, pairing customisable timers with a data report and a built-in version updater.
PomoFocus - Blender Free Addon by mydream_art applies the Pomodoro Technique inside Blender. Instead of the traditional settings, you can set custom time settings, then work through the technique's cycle: pick a task, run the timer until it ends, take a short break, and take a longer break after four rounds.
Sound plays while the timer runs and again once a task is finished, and version 2.0.0 added a custom sound option along with a reset button. Version 3.0.0 introduced a data report covering the details of completed tasks, an updater that checks for new versions, and merged the Special Edition into the original edition. Version 3.0.1 added an estimate of the time needed to complete a task.
The addon was tested with Blender 2.91, 2.92 and 2.93, and lists support through Blender 3.3. In Blender 2.93 the sound feature did not work as expected, which is a known issue. It carries a Royalty Free license and is listed as free here.
Pomofocus - Blender Free Addon is best for blender users who want to apply the Pomodoro Technique to manage work sessions and track completed tasks inside Blender.
Pomofocus - Blender Free Addon is completely free to download and use.
PomoFocus was tested with Blender 2.91, 2.92 and 2.93, and its listing covers Blender versions from 2.91 through 3.0, 3.1, 3.2 and 3.3. If you run one of these releases, the addon should install and operate as described. For anything outside that range, or to confirm the currently supported versions, check the developer's page before installing, since compatibility details can change with later releases of the addon.
PomoFocus has a known issue on Blender 2.93, where the sound feature does not work as expected. To address this, earlier releases shipped a Special Edition aimed at Blender 2.93 users. Version 3.0.0 later integrated that Special Edition and the original edition into a single addon. If you are on Blender 2.93 and rely on the timer sounds, review the developer's page for the latest guidance on how the current version handles that release.
PomoFocus is listed as free here and carries a Royalty Free license. Pricing and licensing terms can be updated by the developer over time, so if you need to confirm the current cost or the exact terms of use before downloading, visit the developer's page. That page is also the place to find the download itself and any notes the creator has published about how the license applies to your projects.
PomoFocus follows the Pomodoro Technique through a repeating cycle. You decide on the task to work on, set the timer, then work until the timer finishes. After that you take a short break, five minutes by default, and repeat the cycle with the same task. Once you complete four rounds, you take a longer break. The addon supports this with custom time settings, sound cues, an estimate of the time needed to finish a task, and a data report of completed work.
