Propscatter earns its spot in the Superhive library by pulling several standalone prop-placement routines into one Blender addon, with all feedback and settings kept in the N-panel.
Propscatter collects several prop-placement tools into one Blender addon aimed at working with lots of meshes. Its Paint mode is a brush-based scatter workflow covering sources, targets, distribution, live preview, overlap cleanup, and final output. You can scatter onto a target list, across the visible scene, on a picked plane, or on a parametric grid, driving instances from a managed source list or the current viewport selection.
Beyond painting, the addon includes Align for snapping objects to surfaces using surface normals, Equal Spacing along any axis, Move by Poly Shift for nudging many objects with a soft brush in the viewport, and Move by Scale to compress or expand a layout around a center. Grid Packer arranges objects on a floor grid, Object Groups wraps a selection in a pivot empty with parenting, and Pivot moves and orients origins by bounds, grid, or click.
Randomize varies position, rotation, and scale with a seed and real-time preview, applied when you are satisfied. Feedback and settings sit in the N-panel. The addon is focused on props and set dressing rather than mass vegetation scattering.
Propscatter is best for blender artists doing kitbashing, environment dressing, asset library layouts, and architectural scenes who frequently place, align, and randomize props.
Propscatter is completely free to download and use.
Propscatter is focused on props and set dressing rather than mass vegetation scattering. Its Paint mode is designed to place furniture, clutter, set dressing, and other objects directly onto scene geometry. You can scatter onto a target list, across the visible scene, on a picked plane, or on a parametric grid, driving instances from a managed source list or from your current selection. If your goal is placing lots of individual props neatly, that is the workflow it targets, so keep that scope in mind before choosing it for dense foliage.
Propscatter's Randomize adds variation in position, rotation, and scale, controlled with a seed and a real-time preview. You adjust the settings and see the result update live, then apply the result when you are happy with it. This preview-then-apply approach means you can iterate on a layout before committing to it. The settings, along with all other feedback, live in the N-panel, so you can tweak randomization alongside the rest of the addon's tools without leaving the viewport.
Propscatter places all feedback and settings conveniently in the N-panel inside Blender. That covers the Paint scatter workflow, source and target lists with their folders, the alignment and spacing tools, and the Randomize preview. Keeping everything in the N-panel means the source control, target assignment modes, and placement logic are reachable from one panel while you work in the viewport. Documentation is also available for reference when setting up sources, targets, and placement modes.
Propscatter is listed as free in this catalog. Because licensing terms can change over time, check the developer 3D CADence's page on Superhive for the current details before you download or rely on it for a project. A demo video is also available if you want to see the addon's tools before installing. That page is the best place to confirm any conditions attached to using the addon in your own work.
