Quick Align earns its place in the Superhive library by adapting Illustrator's familiar align-and-distribute controls to Blender's 3D Viewport, with automatic axis detection tied to the current view.
Quick Align brings object alignment and distribution to Blender with an approach modelled on Adobe Illustrator. It provides six alignment modes, covering Left, Center Horizontal, Right, Top, Center Vertical and Bottom, plus six distribution modes for spacing objects by horizontal or vertical edges. Custom icons match the Adobe Illustrator interface.
The add-on includes Smart Axis Detection, which automatically detects horizontal and vertical axes based on your current view, and Manual Axis Control lets you override that automatic detection by selecting axes yourself. Axis mappings follow the standard orthographic views: Top view uses X horizontal and Y vertical, Front uses X and Z, and Side uses Y and Z. You can align objects either to the bounds of all selected objects or to the active object.
Quick Align runs from the Quick Align panel in the 3D Viewport sidebar, opened with the N key. Select two or more objects to align, or three or more to distribute, then choose auto or manual axis control and click the alignment or distribution buttons. A demo video is available on the developer's page.
Quick Align is best for blender artists who want to align and distribute objects using an Adobe Illustrator-style workflow.
Quick Align is completely free to download and use.
Quick Align requires Blender 4.2.0 or later and is listed as compatible with Blender versions 4.2 through 4.5. It is distributed as a Blender extension add-on. If you run an earlier release of Blender, you will need to update before installing, since the extension relies on the Extensions system introduced in Blender 4.2. Check the developer's page for the most current version support before installing.
Quick Align is installed as an extension ZIP file. Download the extension as a ZIP, then in Blender 4.2+ go to Edit > Preferences > Extensions, click "Install from Disk" and select the ZIP file. Finally, enable the "Quick Align" extension. Once enabled, open the Quick Align panel from the 3D Viewport sidebar using the N key to access the alignment and distribution controls.
Quick Align requires at least two selected objects to perform alignment, and three or more objects for distribution. After selecting your objects, open the Quick Align panel in the 3D Viewport sidebar, choose your axis control mode, then click the alignment or distribution buttons to organise the objects. You can align to the bounds of the selection or to the active object, which is the last one selected.
Quick Align is listed as free in this catalog. It is released under the GPL license and created by Null Station. For current licensing terms and any pricing details, visit the developer's page at Null Station. The add-on has a small number of recorded sales and a five-star rating from one review, so consult the developer's page directly for the latest information before downloading.
