Quick Plan earns its place in the Superhive library for combining plan dimensioning, wall and column generation, and layered SVG export in a single Blender add-on covering versions from 2.79 to 4.5.
Quick Plan is a Blender add-on from Douripo aimed at creating architectural 2D drawing plans. Quick Dimension automatically creates dimensions on the top, bottom, left, and right of the base mesh, while Quick Wall adds walls and columns based on edges and vertices. Walls and columns are solid faces that can be extruded to create 3D objects, and edges marked as freestyle produce inward walls and columns. Quick Annotation adds a notation based on the area of each face.
Quick SVG export outputs to Scalable Vector Graphics with 14-digit precision on metric and 25-digit precision on pixel, inch, and feet, tested with Inkscape. Exported SVG files include four separate layers so line thickness can be adjusted easily. Mesh faces export to closed paths, edges with no face export to paths, curves export as curve paths, and text exports as text. Bezier, path, cyclic and non-cyclic geometry are translated well.
The add-on supports Blender 2.79 through 4.5, including the 2.8x, 2.9x, 3.x and 4.x series. Note that Quick Dimension works only on 90 and 180 degree edges. Documentation and support are provided through a Blender Artist post.
Quick Plan is best for blender users producing architectural 2D floor plans and exporting them to SVG.
Quick Plan is completely free to download and use.
Quick Plan supports a broad span of Blender releases, including 2.79 and the 2.8x, 2.9x, 3.0 through 3.6, and 4.0 through 4.5 series. Version 4.5 of the add-on added support for Blender 4.5 specifically. This wide coverage means the tool can be used across older and current Blender installations. If you need to confirm compatibility for a particular build, check the developer's page and the Blender Artist support post before installing.
Quick Plan's Quick Dimension tool works only on 90 and 180 degree edges, which is a stated limitation of the feature. It automatically creates dimensions on the top, bottom, left, and right of the base mesh. For walls that are not at 90 or 180 degrees, the shear wall option was added to create non-90/180-degree walls. Review the documentation on the Blender Artist post for details on how these tools handle your geometry.
Quick Plan's Quick SVG export has been tested with Inkscape. It outputs Scalable Vector Graphics with 14-digit precision on metric and 25-digit precision on pixel, inch, and feet. The exported files include four separate layers so line thickness can be adjusted easily. Mesh faces export to closed paths, faceless edges to paths, curves as curve paths, and text as text. Example SVG output files are available via Google Drive, as noted on the developer's page.
Quick Plan is listed as free here and is distributed under a GPL license. For current licensing terms and any pricing details, check the developer's page directly. The add-on is developed by Douripo and documentation and support are provided through a Blender Artist post. A demo video is also available if you want to see more before installing.
