Random Flow is a random mesh generator for Blender, aimed at fast hard surface prototyping and concept art. It is built around greeble-based functionalities and a set of operators that support them, letting you layer greeble details on top of each other for designs with functional realism. The developer describes it as a fast-changing add-on with more functionality planned.
The toolkit spans several random generators. Random Panels is the original scifi panel generator, Random Loop Extrude stacks greeble mesh, Random Slice cuts random slices per face, and Random Axis Extrude produces recursive branching extrusions in the xyz axis. Curve-based tools include Random Tubes for pipes and Random Cables for catenary or manually controlled cables, with Flanges/Couplings adding flanges to those cables. Support operators cover Panel Screw, Panel Cloth, Plate Insets, Quick Displacement, Quad Project, Grid Project and Straight UVs.
A recent update added a geonode feature for modifier-based scifi panel details, with initiate, edit, copy and remove commands for controlling the geonode properties. Random Flow ships with online documentation, product updates, and support from Blender Guppy.
