Recorder Pro stands out in the superhive library for its single-button approach to keyframing multiple objects and properties across objects, cameras, lights, and bones. Note the current compatibility ceiling: it runs in Blender 4 through 5.0.0 alpha but not 5.0.0 RC or later, with an update in progress.
Recorder Pro is a Blender add-on from jkdesign that records animation with a single RECORD button instead of selecting each object and property individually. You pick a property using the L, R, S, or V buttons for Location, Rotation, Scale, or Visibility, select the objects, cameras, lights, or bones you want to animate, then hit RECORD. Move along the timeline, adjust your objects, and press RECORD again (or SHIFT+R) to create keyframes for every selected object and property at once.
The plugin supports position, rotation, and scale animation, plus a dedicated property for animating object visibility in both the viewport and render. It can create or delete keyframes, offers Autokey and overlay options, and places its Recorder buttons in the Timeline, Dopesheet, and Graph Editor. Bones are supported in Pose Mode, and the interface lives in an easy-to-use sidebar panel.
Recorder Pro works in Blender 4 and up to Blender 5.0.0 alpha, but not in Blender 5.0.0 RC or later; the developer notes an update is in progress. Version 2.0.0 updated the icons for Blender 4.2 and above and added compatibility with Timeline Pro's playback display.
Recorder Pro is best for blender artists animating the location, rotation, scale, or visibility of multiple objects, cameras, lights, or bones from a single panel.
Recorder Pro is completely free to download and use.
Recorder Pro works in Blender 4 and up through Blender 5.0.0 alpha builds, but it does not work in Blender 5.0.0 RC or later. Because of changes in Blender's code, the developer notes an update is in progress to restore support for newer releases. Version 2.0.0 also updated the plugin's icons for Blender 4.2 and above. If you are on a recent 5.0.0 release candidate, check the developer's page for the latest status before downloading.
Recorder Pro uses a RECORD button in place of selecting each object and property. Click the L, R, S, or V button to choose Location, Rotation, Scale, or Visibility, select the objects, cameras, lights, or bones you want to animate, then click RECORD. Move in the timeline, adjust the objects, and click RECORD again or press SHIFT+R, and it creates keyframes for all selected objects and properties. It can also delete keyframes when you need to reset your work.
Recorder Pro includes a dedicated property for animating the visibility of objects in both the viewport and render. Check the V property, hit RECORD, move in the timeline, click the visibility button, and press RECORD again to set the keyframes. One caveat worth knowing: because of Blender limitations, visibility does not update through Autokey, so you use the RECORD button to capture visibility changes instead.
Recorder Pro is listed as free in this catalog. Licensing and version details can change over time, so check the developer's page on superhive for current terms before you download. Once installed, its Recorder buttons appear in the Timeline, Dopesheet, and Graph Editor, and the main interface sits in a sidebar panel, so you can work with it directly inside Blender's animation editors.
