Earns its place in the Superhive library as a small, focused add-on for anyone who repeatedly copies object transforms or juggles camera angles in Blender.
Save & Recall Transform is an add-on for Blender that lets you save the transform of a selected object as a named snapshot, then reuse it later. Each snapshot captures the object's location, rotation and scale values, and you can rename, update and delete the snapshots as a scene evolves. Saved transforms can be applied back to the same object or to a different one.
The add-on is handy for camera work. You can create a single camera, save several angles as separate snapshots, and toggle between those angles in a single click rather than managing multiple cameras. From version 1.3 onward, transforms are saved in world space rather than local space, which avoids inconsistency when the selected object has a parent.
Version 2.0 brought a panel redesign and an object specific transform toggle, making it easier to switch between the snapshots saved for a particular object; disabling the toggle applies the transform to the active object instead. It is distributed as an add-on under a GPL license and supports Blender 4.2 through 5.1.
Save & Recall Transform is best for blender artists who reuse object transforms or manage multiple camera angles within a single scene.
Save & Recall Transform is completely free to download and use.
Save & Recall Transform supports Blender versions 4.2 through 5.1 and is marked Blender Extension compatible on the listing. It is distributed as an add-on under a GPL license. If your Blender falls within that range, the add-on is intended to work with it. For versions outside 4.2 to 5.1, check the developer's page before installing, since support beyond the stated range isn't confirmed. Knowing the version window and extension type up front helps you confirm it fits your Blender setup before you add it.
Save & Recall Transform suits camera work because you can create a single camera, save several different angles as transform snapshots, and toggle between those angles in a single click. Rather than duplicating cameras for each shot, you store the location, rotation and scale of one camera and recall each saved angle when needed. The snapshots can also be renamed, updated and deleted, so the set of angles stays manageable as a scene changes. This makes switching between framings quick within a single Blender project.
Save & Recall Transform version 2.0 introduced a panel redesign and added an object specific transform toggle. The toggle makes it easier to switch between the different transform snapshots saved for a specific object, and you can disable it to apply the transform to the active object instead. Earlier updates also added the ability to update saved presets in version 1.1, and version 1.3 changed the saved transform from local to world to avoid inconsistency when the selected object has a parent. Together these updates cover both the interface and how transforms are stored.
Save & Recall Transform is listed as free in this catalog and carries a GPL license. Licensing terms can change over time, so for current pricing and license details it's best to check the developer's page directly. The add-on lets you create, rename, update and delete transform snapshots regardless of how it's listed here. If you want the most up to date information on how it's distributed, the developer's page is the place to confirm before you download and install it.
