What is SCO EdgeWise?

SCO EdgeWise adds dimensional measurement to Blender's Edit Mode for mesh objects. Developed by BEAST_of_BURDEN, it lives in the Item Tab and works directly in the 3D View, using the active unit system, whether Metric or Imperial.

The add-on measures distances between two vertices, lengths of individual edges or contiguous edge groups, and angles between two selected edges. It also calculates distances offset from the 3D Cursor to a single vertex along the X, Y, or Z axis. Results appear in a UI panel, and the tool adapts to the active scene scale, unit system (m, cm, mm, ft, in), and scaled objects.

Version 2.0.6 dynamically increases decimal precision for very small measurements, so tiny edges no longer display as 0.00 m, and reports small metric lengths such as 0.0027 m rather than rounding them. It also improves compatibility with Blender 5.1 by removing the restrictive maximum version from the extension manifest and packages the extension with Blender's official extension builder format.
