Show It Off earns its place for a simple, non-destructive turntable that stays out of the way—2.0's unrestricted passthrough means you can keep sculpting or modeling while the object spins. The developer also offers a separate add-on, SpinCraft, described as the next evolution and aimed specifically at sculpting workflows.
Show It Off keeps your model rotating in the Blender viewport so you can sit back and admire it, build a full turntable display, or watch an animation from any angle without touching the animation, viewport, or cameras. Rotations are non-destructive: every object returns to its starting transform once you end the rotation.
Version 2.0 removed the restrictions on passthrough operations, so you can sculpt, model, change materials, and adjust the timeline while the object spins. The continuous rotation mimics a pottery wheel for sculpting, and an adjustable event interval timer lets you match the rotation rate to your brush. Where 1.0 capped rotation at 300 units per axis, 2.0 lifts the cap to infinity with a reworked modal operator for smooth motion at high speeds.
Controls sit in a new Tool panel section, with a header button for on-the-fly settings and keymapping to start and stop the rotation. Adjustments preview in real time, and stopping resets orientation instantly. The add-on is adapted for Blender 4.2.
Show It Off is best for blender users who want a hands-free turntable view of their work while sculpting, modeling, changing materials, or reviewing animations from any angle.
Show It Off is completely free to download and use.
Show It Off is adapted for Blender 4.2, released as an extension aligned with that version's features and improvements. It runs inside Blender's viewport, with its controls in a new Tool panel section alongside a header button. The add-on continues to be maintained and updated as long as new features fit its original scope, so checking the developer's page confirms the current supported versions before you install and set it up.
Show It Off lets you keep working while your object rotates. Version 2.0 removed the restrictions on passthrough operations, so you can sculpt, model, change materials, and adjust the timeline without stopping the spin. For sculpting, the continuous rotation mimics a pottery wheel, and you can set the event interval timer to match the rate of your brush for a cohesive experience. The reworked modal operator keeps motion fluid even during complex tasks.
Show It Off uses non-destructive rotations. Every object returns to its starting transform the moment you end the rotation, so spinning your model to view or sculpt it leaves the underlying placement untouched. Stopping resets orientation instantly, giving you precise control for reviews without altering your project. This lets you refine rather than undo, and it means you can experiment freely while the object turns without worrying about permanent changes.
Show It Off can be triggered with an assigned shortcut or by toggling the operator from the UI. Version 2.0 added keymapping for starting and stopping the rotation, and a header button gives you instant control to tweak settings on the fly. The 2.1 update moved key binding to Blender's default keymap system rather than the add-on preferences, and rotation settings now live in the window manager instead of being saved as preferences.
Show It Off and SpinCraft come from the same developer, who describes SpinCraft as the next evolution of Show It Off. If you're mainly interested in sculpting workflows, the developer specifically recommends looking into SpinCraft, since it is designed for that purpose. Show It Off itself continues to be maintained and updated as long as new features align with its original scope. Checking the developer's page helps you decide which one fits your workflow.
