Earns its place in the superhive library for keeping reusable node groups in one searchable spot, with Dropbox and iCloud sync and shareable library packs.
SlothNodeVault gives Blender users a personal library for saving, searching and loading node groups. It works with Geometry, Shader and Compositor nodes, storing each saved group as a .blend file in a library folder you choose. The add-on's panel sits in the N-sidebar of both the 3D Viewport and the Node Editor.
Saving a node group takes a name, category and tags from the Node Editor. To reuse one, browse or search the library and click Load; if a compatible Node Editor is open, the group drops into your active node tree, otherwise you can find it through Shift+A > Group. Built-in Dropbox and iCloud sync, via Set Dropbox and Set iCloud, share your library across machines, with iCloud supported on macOS and Windows. You can also bundle the whole library into a .zip with Export Library Pack, or bring in someone else's with Import Pack.
It supports Blender 4.1 through 5.1, works with Cycles and Eevee, and is released under the GPL license.
Slothnodevault - Personal Node Group Library is best for blender artists who build node groups in the Geometry, Shader or Compositor editors and want to save, search and reuse them from a personal library synced across machines.
Slothnodevault - Personal Node Group Library is completely free to download and use.
SlothNodeVault supports Blender versions 4.1 through 5.1 and is listed as Blender Extension compatible, distributed as an add-on. It works with both the Cycles and Eevee render engines and handles Geometry, Shader and Compositor node groups. The add-on is released under the GPL license. If you run a Blender release inside that 4.1 to 5.1 range you should be covered; for anything outside it, check the developer's page for current compatibility details before installing.
SlothNodeVault installs like any other Blender extension. You can add it from Edit > Preferences > Extensions, or install it directly from the downloaded .zip file. Once installed, open the SlothNodeVault panel in the N-sidebar of the 3D Viewport or Node Editor, expand Settings, and set your Library Folder path. That folder is where every node group is stored as a .blend file. From there you can begin saving and loading groups through the panel.
SlothNodeVault includes built-in Dropbox and iCloud sync. In Settings, clicking Set Dropbox points your library to a named folder inside Dropbox, so every machine signed into the same Dropbox account has access to your full library. iCloud works the same way through Set iCloud, and it is supported on both macOS and Windows with iCloud Drive enabled. If you prefer to move a library manually, you can also export it as a .zip pack and import packs shared by others.
SlothNodeVault is listed as free in this catalog. Licensing and pricing can change, so check the developer's page for the current terms before you download. The add-on itself is released under the GPL license. Once you have it, you set a Library Folder where your node groups live as .blend files, and you can optionally sync that folder through Dropbox or iCloud so the same library follows you across machines.
