Earns a spot in the superhive library for consolidating render profiles, metadata entry, and multi-platform uploading into Blender's own panels.
Social Media Uploader is a Blender addon from ZibadMend for sending rendered animations to YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram directly from Blender. A single click can push a finished render to one platform or, using the Upload to All Platforms button, to every supported destination at once.
Before uploading, the addon checks whether the video is already rendered and can start the render itself if it is not, handling Blender's default output paths such as //tmp/ for reliable file detection. Video Title, multi-line Description, multi-line Tags, and Privacy Status are set in Blender's Output Properties panel, and a unified progress bar tracks each platform's upload. Per-platform profile editors adjust Resolution, FPS, File Format, Video Codec, Audio Codec, and CRF, with CRF exposed as Quality presets like Lossless, High, Medium, and Low. The saved profile is applied automatically before render and upload, then your original settings are restored.
Step-by-step YouTube API setup guides are built into the panel, with quick access to Google Cloud Console; TikTok and Instagram integrations are currently simulated. Messages and DEBUG output appear in the Blender System Console for troubleshooting.
Social Media Uploader is best for 3D animators, motion graphics artists, and Blender content creators who upload rendered videos to social platforms.
Social Media Uploader is completely free to download and use.
Social Media Uploader is compatible with Blender 3.0 and newer, with Blender 4.5 or later recommended for optimal icon display. It runs on Windows, Linux, and macOS, so most current Blender setups are covered. Its controls live in Blender's Output Properties panel, where you set the render output and enter video metadata. On an older 3.x build the addon still functions, though moving to 4.5+ gives you the intended icon display in the interface.
Social Media Uploader requires three Python libraries: requests, google-api-python-client, and google-auth-oauthlib. To make setup easier, easy-to-use installation scripts are provided in the addon's install folder, so you don't have to install each dependency by hand. These libraries support the API upload process, including the YouTube integration. The addon also includes step-by-step YouTube API setup guides in its panel, with quick access to Google Cloud Console for credential setup.
Social Media Uploader targets YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram, but at present the TikTok and Instagram integrations are simulated while full API implementation is pending, which the developer attributes to platform complexities. YouTube uploading is handled through Google's API, and the addon provides detailed, step-by-step guides for setting up YouTube API access along with quick access to Google Cloud Console. For the current state of each platform's integration, check the developer's page.
Social Media Uploader is listed as free here in our catalog. Because licensing and terms can change over time, check the developer's page on superhive for the current details before you download. The addon does require a few Python libraries, namely requests, google-api-python-client, and google-auth-oauthlib, for which easy-to-use installation scripts are included in the install folder, so getting it running doesn't involve extra purchases.
