Super3D Import & Export .3Mf is a focused Blender add-on for moving .3mf files in and out of the scene. The .3mf format is an XML-based 3D-printing container backed by the 3MF Consortium that carries color, materials, textures, multi-part assemblies and printer build-plate information in a single package, going beyond what STL holds.
The add-on installs dedicated File menu entries for import and export. Conversion runs through the Super3D cloud service, so Blender stays lightweight. On import, the add-on uploads the file, then downloads and merges the result into the active scene. On export, the scene is written to OBJ on the main thread, converted to .3mf via Super3D and saved to disk.
Imports bring in printable parts as separate objects, per-part color and material assignments where present, and build-plate transforms so layout matches the slicer. Embedded textures are extracted as image data when present, while slicer-specific data such as supports and infill is descriptive only and not regenerated. On export, procedural shaders are baked to per-vertex or per-material color, and non-manifold geometry should be repaired in Blender first.

Procedural Blender shaders are baked to per-vertex or per-material color on export, and per-object material colors carry through. Slicer-specific data such as supports and infill is not regenerated by the add-on.

On import, per-part color and material assignments are preserved where present, and embedded textures are extracted as image data when available.
