Superbake Pro earns its place in the superhive library for tackling a specific problem: keeping parenting, constraints, and driver-controlled motion intact when animations are exported from Blender, without changing your existing animation process.
Superbake Pro - Animation Baking Toolkit is a Blender add-on for baking complex animations, including parenting, constraints, and drivers. Blender's animation system supports intricate character, mechanical, and scene animations, but exporting them often breaks parenting, drops constraints, or loses motion on special objects. Superbake Pro addresses this with a one-click bake and export workflow built on GLTF that preserves animation data.
The toolkit maintains parent-child hierarchies, bakes all constraint types and driver-controlled motion into standard keyframes, and preserves camera, light, and empty animations. Baking modes cover selected objects, visible objects, and the full scene, with automatic switching to scene mode when nothing is selected. Additional options include shape key baking, custom frame ranges, material and vertex color retention, and optional tangent data export.
Supported object types range from meshes, curves, surfaces, and metaballs to text, armatures, empties, cameras, and lights. It runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux, cleans up temporary export files automatically, and includes a rollback system that restores the original state if an operation fails.
Superbake Pro - Animation Baking Toolkit is best for blender artists exporting animations built with parenting, constraints, and drivers who need those relationships preserved as keyframes.
Superbake Pro - Animation Baking Toolkit is completely free to download and use.
Superbake Pro supports Windows, macOS, and Linux, so the baking and export workflow works across all three platforms. It automatically chooses a cache location between your Documents and temp folders, and it deletes temporary export files once the operation completes. If a bake fails, a rollback system restores the scene to its original state, and a progress display gives real-time status while the bake runs. These file-management and recovery behaviours apply regardless of which operating system you use.
Superbake Pro bakes all constraint types and driver-controlled animations into standard keyframes, and it maintains complex parent-child hierarchies automatically. It also preserves camera, light, and empty animations, including cases where cameras or lights are parented. The tool auto-detects animated data blocks, constraints, and drivers, and understands hierarchical animation influence and implicit constraint-based motion. After import it rebuilds the original parent-child hierarchy and maintains structural relationships. This lets you keep animating with keyframes, constraints, and drivers as usual, without special node setups.
Superbake Pro supports mesh objects, curves, NURBS surfaces, metaballs, and 3D text objects, along with armatures for full rig and bone animation. It also handles empties used as controllers and reference points, cameras with movement and parameter animations, and lights with position, rotation, and settings animations. Shape key, or morph target, animations can be baked and exported or imported as well. After baking, the tool appends a "_Baked" suffix automatically, and it includes a random renaming utility for objects, data blocks, materials, and animation data.
Superbake Pro is listed as free here in our catalog. Licensing terms can change over time, so check the developer's page on superhive for the current details before you download. Beyond licensing, the toolkit keeps your existing workflow unchanged—you animate with keyframes, constraints, drivers, and complex parenting as usual, then let it bake and export through its GLTF-based process. It offers selected, visible, and full-scene baking modes, along with options for material retention, vertex colors, and tangent data export.
