Uebridge earns its place in the Superhive library by bridging four programs in a single workflow. A free trial is offered, and recommended companion versions are documented for Blender, Substance Painter and Photoshop.
Uebridge connects Blender, Unreal Engine 5, Adobe Substance 3D Painter and Adobe Photoshop, moving assets back and forth between these programs so you can quickly check editing results without manual import and export steps. It can be used to quickly edit scenes in the Unreal Mall and create games, and to build large numbers of assets and view the results.
Supported asset types for editing include static mesh, skeletal mesh, skeletal animation, texture, level sequence and geometry cache. Additional features cover baking textures, baking vertex animation textures and editing level examples. Most resources handled by the plugin are marked and can be renamed or moved, with unique IDs assigned and stored per program in dedicated objects or settings files.
Configuration is handled through a setting.ini file where you can specify the socket port, the cache directory used to exchange resources such as FBX, glTF and PNG files, and the Substance Painter shortcut key. Tutorial and demo videos are available, along with a Discord community.
Uebridge (Free Trial) Blender +Unreal Engine5 + Substance 3D Painter + Photoshop Version is best for artists working across Blender, Unreal Engine 5, Substance 3D Painter and Photoshop who want to transfer assets and check editing results without manual import and export.
Uebridge (Free Trial) Blender +Unreal Engine5 + Substance 3D Painter + Photoshop Version is completely free to download and use.
Uebridge lists recommended Blender versions of 3.1, 3.2 and 3.3, with the listing published for Blender 3.3. In Blender, the document is managed by the user, and resources such as static meshes are assigned a unique ID stored in the bpy.data.node_groups["objinfo"] object, which supports renaming and moving. Deleting that object will cause the reference to be lost. The developer notes that versions with little difference are generally compatible up and down, so nearby releases may also work.
Uebridge connects Blender with Unreal Engine 5, Adobe Substance 3D Painter and Adobe Photoshop, transferring assets back and forth between these programs. Recommended versions are 3.1 and 3.2 for Substance 3D Painter and 23.3.2, 23.4.154 for Photoshop. Each program assigns unique IDs to resources: Photoshop and Substance Painter use ID folders stored in a setting.ini file, while Unreal Engine saves resource IDs in the '/Game/UEBridge/UEBridge/objinfo.objinfo' object. Deleting these reference objects will cause the reference to be lost.
Uebridge offers a free 10-day trial. According to the developer's instructions, you unzip and install it in the directory ..ue\Engine\Plugins\Marketplace. Configuration is handled through a setting.ini file located under your AppData\Roaming\UEBridge folder, where you can set the socket port used by the plugin, the cache directory for exchanging resource files such as FBX, glTF and PNG, and the Substance Painter shortcut key. Tutorial and demo videos are available to help with setup, and a Discord community is linked.
Uebridge is listed as free here, and the developer offers a free 10-day trial version. For current licensing details, check the developer's page. The listing indicates a Royalty Free license. Because the trial is time-limited, refer to the developer for information on continued use beyond the trial period. The tutorial and demo videos and the linked Discord community are also good places to confirm the latest terms before committing to the plugin.
