Trimflow
by Shape-Shift

3D Cursor Plus earns its place in the blender_extensions library by turning the 3D cursor into a configurable, operator-backed tool with its own gizmo, undo support, and cursor-referenced transforms in both Object and Edit modes.
3D Cursor Plus extends Blender's 3D cursor with a set of tools built around it. It can display the cursor's axes more clearly and add a gizmo for manipulation, offering two separate presets you can use individually or together and switch between with a shortcut, a panel button, or a pie menu. Colors, sizes, per-area visibility, and each preset's behavior are adjustable, and you can link a preset to the cursor or use it in place of the cursor.
The add-on can also bring Undo and Redo to the 3D cursor, tracking its Location, Euler Rotation, and Rotation Mode while ignoring Quaternion and Axis rotations. Change detection uses a small delay of about 0.3 seconds to filter out unnecessary transformations.
A group of PLUS operators wraps default Blender operators to work in reference to the 3D cursor, functioning in both Object and Edit modes. These include Snap To with its own snap list, Move, Rotate, and Scale relative to the cursor, Copy Rotation, Reset 3D Cursor, and Override for Transform Orientation and Pivot Point. Several operators respond to SHIFT and ALT modifiers to change their behavior.
3D Cursor Plus is best for blender artists who rely on the 3D cursor and want clearer axes, a manipulation gizmo, undo and redo for it, and transform operators that work in reference to the cursor.
3D Cursor Plus is completely free to download and use.
3D Cursor Plus is compatible with Blender 4.2 LTS and newer, so any release from 4.2 onward should run it. The add-on works in the 3D View and can be added by dragging and dropping the extension into Blender or installing it from disk. It also requests permission to save and load its gizmo presets and pie menu configuration to files. For the current compatibility details, check the developer's page.
3D Cursor Plus, when its undo feature is enabled, makes Undo and Redo apply to the 3D cursor. For simplicity it only considers three parameters: the cursor's Location, Euler Rotation, and Rotation Mode. Quaternion and Axis rotations are ignored as redundant for the cursor. Change detection carries a small delay of roughly 0.3 seconds to filter out unnecessary transformations, so during very rapid placement (more than three per second) usually only the last change is detected. That delay does not apply to the Undo and Redo operations themselves.
3D Cursor Plus is released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later. In this catalog it is listed as free, and for the current licensing terms you should check the developer's page. The add-on can be downloaded and installed directly into Blender, and issues or bug reports are tracked through the project's GitHub repository. The most recent listed version addressed a fix where undo continued working after being disabled in preferences and restarting Blender.
3D Cursor Plus lets you link a preset to the 3D cursor or use it in place of the cursor. It provides two separate gizmo and axes presets that you can apply individually or together and switch between with a shortcut, a panel button, or a pie menu. You can change their colors and sizes, choose each preset's behavior, and define visibility in separate areas, giving clearer cursor axes and a gizmo for easier manipulation.
