Alpha Tools is a Blender add-on from Nanomanpro for managing transparency in 3D materials and objects. It configures alpha properties for individual objects or an entire scene, automatically adds and configures the nodes needed to support transparency, and adjusts transparency levels for selected objects. Its node management can remove complex node settings, and its global support extends to all materials in a scene, including those not assigned to objects.
The add-on creates fade-in and fade-out animations with one click. You can select blend mode, shadow mode and backface culling parameters and change them at any time while working, and a dedicated operator assigns the single user parameter to specific materials. Version 1.6 adds keyframes for the Disable in Render parameter during Fade In and Fade Out operations, addressing artifacts that occurred when an object was hidden only by the alpha channel.
Alpha Tools supports Blender 3.5 through 4.4 and works with the Cycles and Eevee render engines. It is distributed under the GPL license and ships with documentation.
