What is [BAM] Decalit?

[BAM] Decalit is a Geometry Nodes-based decal system for Blender, built around a custom UI/UX and a non-destructive workflow rather than the traditional Import Images as Planes plus Shrinkwrap approach. It projects mesh decals onto curved surfaces with advanced surface snapping, and suits hard-surface panels, trims, symbols, labels, screws, vents, and stylized marks that should sit cleanly on top of another mesh.

Placement happens in the viewport: hover a surface, position the decal with an overlay, then adjust scale, projection depth, offset, subdivision, and rotation without leaving the 3D view. You can move, scale, rotate, flip, and align decals, and control width, height, trim, and triangulation. Three projection modes cover different needs, and Decal Carve lets you draw a polygon to cut away or restore parts of a decal.

The Decal Library stores reusable decals from selected mesh objects, with saved collections, preset switching, and preview thumbnails in the View3D sidebar. Existing decals can be reopened with Decal IT EditMode. Version 1.1.0 adds Decal IT Bake, per-parent decal collections, BackFace projection control, and a Normal Transfer mode.
