Corona Elements to Photoshop Automator earns its place in the ScriptSpot library by wiring render completion straight into a grouped Photoshop document, with paths that persist in the ENU folder and a design that avoids admin rights. Tested with Corona 13 and 3ds Max 2026.
Corona Elements to Photoshop Automator is a script for 3ds Max that connects the end of a Corona render to a Photoshop layer stack. You install it by dragging the MZP file into the 3ds Max viewport, which opens an install and uninstall window and adds the tool to Main UI > Custom Tools in the Customise User Interface.
Before monitoring, you set two paths in the GUI: the location of Photoshop.exe and the folder for saved TIF elements. Both are stored in your 3ds Max ENU folder. Clicking START MONITORING sets the tool to wait for a render, and once you start one with F9 or Production, a progress bar tracks the render passes and noise levels.
When the render reaches its pass or noise limit, all elements are saved as 16-bit TIFs with Alpha to your chosen folder. Photoshop is then launched or focused, a custom script headlessly stacks the TIFs into a single document, and the layers are grouped into a set named after your 3ds Max scene. It has been tested with Corona 13 and 3ds Max 2026, and is designed to run without admin rights.
Corona Elements to Photoshop Automator is best for 3ds Max artists using Corona Render who want render elements saved and stacked as grouped Photoshop layers automatically after each render.
Corona Elements to Photoshop Automator is completely free to download and use.
Corona Elements to Photoshop Automator has been tested with 3ds Max 2026 and Corona 13, and its compatibility is listed for 3ds Max 2026. To work as intended, you need Corona Render active with render elements added in the Render Setup dialog, since the tool saves those elements after a render completes. If elements are not saving, that missing setup is the first thing to check. For other host versions, the developer's page on Gumroad is the place to confirm current support before relying on it in production.
Corona Elements to Photoshop Automator installs as a drag-and-drop MZP. Drag the MZP file into the 3ds Max viewport and it launches an install and uninstall window. Once installed, it appears under Main UI > Custom Tools in the Customise User Interface, so you can reach it from there. Before monitoring, you set two paths in the GUI: the Photoshop.exe location and the folder where TIF elements will be saved. Those settings are stored automatically in your 3ds Max ENU folder, so they persist between sessions.
Corona Elements to Photoshop Automator is designed to run without admin rights by staying within the AppData/Local ENU directory, which is also where its settings are saved. If Photoshop reports an error, the tool highlights it in red in the 3ds Max GUI, and an Open Log button gives you more detail to troubleshoot. Keeping its configuration in a user-writable location rather than requiring elevated permissions means you can set it up on a standard user account.
Corona Elements to Photoshop Automator is listed as free here in the catalog. For current licensing terms and any conditions of use, check the developer's page on Gumroad, since those details are set by the developer and can change over time. The download and its drag-and-drop MZP installer are available from that page, along with the version and update information. Confirming the latest details directly with the developer is the safest approach before you add it to a working pipeline.
