Easy Reference earns its place in the superhive library by handling the fiddly setup of reference images — folder import, per-view placement, and scaling — from one Blender panel.
Easy Reference is a Blender add-on that brings reference images into your scene and scales them to fit. You point it to the folder where your images are stored, select the ones you need, and they appear listed in the panel. Assigning positions is done by picking from six views: FRONT, BACK, LEFT, RIGHT, TOP, and BOTTOM. Pressing the 'add as reference images' button places each image on its view, and every image takes the prefix of the view you chose.
Clicking a view name in the panel switches to that view and selects the image, so you skip the usual 1, Ctrl+1, 3 and Ctrl+3 shortcuts. A slider moves the images apart, and the Model Box helps with positioning and scaling. You enter the length, height, and width of your model, then lock the box, position your references, and lock them before modelling.
For a single blueprint holding all views, the 'copy Image' button duplicates it as needed. The 2-point scale tool scales one image from a known dimension, and 'copy scale to all' matches the rest. Architectural work also has a scale line tool, usable in FRONT or TOP view.
Easy Reference is best for setting up reference images and blueprints in Blender, scaled and aligned to views for modelling from front, side, top and other angles.

Easy Reference assigns images to six standard views: FRONT, BACK, LEFT, RIGHT, TOP, and BOTTOM. After you select images from your chosen folder and pick a view for each, the 'add as reference images' button places them on the matching view. Easy Reference offers two ways to scale. The 2-point scale tool is the quicker one: you pick a dimension you know on the image, press the button, enter that dimension, then click two points and the image scales automatically. The scale line tool works from a visual guide — you place the 3D cursor, add a scale line with your dimension, and scale the blueprint along it. For now the scale line method works only in FRONT or TOP view. The 'copy scale to all' button then matches the other images to the first one you scaled.
Easy Reference includes a Model Box to help you align and position your views. You press the Add model box button and enter the length, height, and width of your model, and a box appears as an alignment guide. If you want to model from the ground up, the box can be aligned with the ground. Once it sits where you want, you lock the box, move your reference images into position, lock them too, and begin modelling. Side and depth buttons sit in the same panel.
Easy Reference is listed here as free. The add-on comes from KVD and is available through superhive, where reference images are imported, placed on views, and scaled inside Blender.
