Garbage Scatter is a Blender addon from EdenWeby 3D for scattering trash objects across any surface. Its library covers objects such as bottles, cans, drinks, sodas, papers, packings and debris, organised into 4 trash categories with 9 assets, and the developer notes more are coming in updates.
The Paint Trash tool drives the workflow. Select the mesh you want to cover, click Paint Trash at the bottom of the Settings panel, and Blender switches to weight paint view. Draw where you want trash to appear, then click Paint Trash again to generate it. A redder paint value produces more trash, and multiple layers of trash are supported.
The assets are low poly but call for a faster CPU, with an Intel i7 8th generation and above recommended and an i5 8th generation as the minimum. Garbage Scatter runs on Blender versions from 2.9 through 4.0, ships with documentation, and a demo video is available.
