Deformer
by EBTRR
Deformer is a Blender add-on that deforms objects through another object's influence radius. It can sculpt and carve in the mesh, letting you move a Deformer Object and see the deformation live.

A recent update removed the 3D Mage Addon Wrangler dependency, so only Vertex Volumes needs to be installed to set up the add-on.
Vertex Volumes is an add-on for Blender that adds a Geometry modifier for defining volumes from faces and per-vertex values. It uses faces to define volume by interpolating radius values between the vertices that make up each face. Offsets can be applied to each vertex while retaining the source geometry, which supports fine-tuning when modeling on other surfaces with the shrinkwrap modifier.
Each vertex can carry its own radius and offset, expanding relative to the face normal. The expansion direction is controlled by a value from -1 to 1, adjustable from the add-on side panel or on the Geometry modifier itself. Radius and offset for selected vertices can be edited in Edit Mode using keyboard shortcuts.
The add-on integrates with Blender's modifier stack system. It is described as useful for detailing work, such as adding muscles on a character. Vertex Volumes is compatible with Blender 4.1 and later, and is distributed under the GPL license.
Vertex Volumes is best for blender users doing detailing work, such as adding muscles on a character.
Vertex Volumes is completely free to download and use.
Vertex Volumes is compatible with Blender 4.1 and later. The listing here notes Blender version support in the 4.5 to 5.1 range, and it is marked as Blender Extension compatible with the Add-on extension type. Because compatibility can shift between releases, check the developer's page for the current supported Blender versions before installing, especially if you are running a newer or older build than the ones listed.
Vertex Volumes previously relied on the 3D Mage Addon Wrangler dependency, but a July 2026 update removed that requirement. Now you only need to install Vertex Volumes itself to set up the add-on. It is distributed as a Blender add-on and is listed as Blender Extension compatible. For the current download and installation steps, refer to the developer's page.
Vertex Volumes lets you set a radius and an offset for each vertex while retaining the original geometry. In Edit Mode, press Shift + R to change the radius on selected vertices and Shift + T to change the offset. The radius expands relative to the face normal, and the offset applies along the face normal in either direction. Expansion direction is controlled by a value from -1 to 1, set via the side panel or on the Geometry modifier.
Vertex Volumes is listed as free in this catalog and is distributed under the GPL license. Licensing and pricing terms can change over time, so for the most current details on availability and terms, check the developer's page directly. The add-on is published by 3D Mage, who also offers other Blender add-ons such as Figaro, Select by Texture, Grid Snap Plus and Directory Batch Exporter.
