Image Remap Canvas earns its place in the blender_extensions library as a focused Image Editor tool for pulling perspective-corrected regions out of images and arranging them on one saved canvas.
Image Remap Canvas is a Blender Image Editor extension for extracting perspective regions from images. You draw an adjustable four-point quadrilateral over the active image, perspective-correct that region into a square or rectangular patch, arrange multiple patches on a temporary result canvas, and save the canvas as a new Blender image datablock.
Corrected results preview in real time using GPU textures, and the result canvas sits to the right of or below the source image so the original stays visible. Canvas items can be selected, moved, resized, uniformly scaled, and rotated in snapped 90-degree steps. You can delete committed regions, undo and redo edit operations, and collect regions from multiple source images within one modal session.
Canvas Width and Canvas Height control the saved image size, defaulting to 2048 x 2048, while Patch Width and Patch Height set the sampling size for each corrected patch. A Square Patch option keeps patches square, interpolation defaults to Bilinear, and Output Name sets the datablock name. The extension requires Blender 5.0 or newer and is distributed under the GPL-3.0-or-later license.
Image Remap Canvas is best for blender artists extracting perspective-corrected regions from images in the Image Editor and composing them onto a single saved canvas.
Image Remap Canvas is completely free to download and use.
Image Remap Canvas is compatible with Blender 5.0 and newer, so you'll need at least that release to run it. It installs as a Blender Image Editor extension and adds an Image Remap tab to the sidebar. Once loaded, you open the Image Editor, load an image, press N to open the right sidebar, switch to the Image Remap tab, and click Start Canvas to begin extracting perspective regions. Older Blender versions are not listed as supported, so confirm your version before installing.
Image Remap Canvas can be added by dragging and dropping the extension into Blender, or by downloading it and installing from disk. After installation, open Blender's Image Editor, load an image, and press N to reveal the right sidebar. Switch to the Image Remap tab, set the canvas size, patch size, and interpolation mode, then click Start Canvas to start drawing your four-point source selection. The extension does not require any special permissions.
Image Remap Canvas has you drag four source selection points over the region you want to extract, then previews the perspective-corrected patch on a result canvas placed to the right of or below the source image. You can move, resize, uniformly scale, and rotate canvas items in 90-degree steps. Press Enter or click Commit Region to fix the patch and start collecting another. Undo and redo cover move, resize, rotate, commit, and delete operations, and pressing Esc closes the session so you can choose to save or discard.
Image Remap Canvas saves the final canvas at a size controlled by the Canvas Width and Canvas Height settings, which default to 2048 x 2048. The on-screen canvas preview size is only a display size and does not affect the saved output. Each corrected patch is sampled at the Patch Width and Patch Height you set, with an optional Square Patch mode to keep patches square, and interpolation defaults to Bilinear. The result is stored as a new Blender image datablock using the name entered in Output Name.
Image Remap Canvas is listed as free here and is distributed under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later. For the most current licensing terms and any usage conditions, check the developer's page on GitHub, where the source is available. The extension does not require special permissions. For details on the current release and license, refer to the developer's GitHub page linked with this listing.
