Jsculpt Tools earns its spot in the superhive library by pulling sculpting helpers — primitives, mask extraction, remeshing and retopology — into one addon. Jayanam is a Blender Dev Fund contributor, and the addon holds a five-star average across six ratings.
Jsculpt Tools is a Blender addon by Jayanam that brings sculpting steps together. Inside Sculpt Mode you can add primitives like a sphere, cube or torus with one click; each object drops into the scene aligned to the surface of the sculpting mesh. Choosing a mirror axis in the panel adds a mirror modifier. You can also make an object active for sculpting by hovering and pressing Shift + D in Blender versions below 3, without switching to Object Mode.
The addon handles mask work: paint a mask onto your sculpt, then click Extract Mask to pull a new mesh from the masked area, with a Thickness and Offset you define. Selecting Remesh after the extract runs the Voxel remesher at a voxel size set in the panel. In Object Mode, selected objects can be joined and remeshed through the Join & Remesh button, ready to sculpt afterward.
For retopology, select your sculpt as the target and press Add retopo mesh; the mesh is added and snapped to the target. You can set where it appears (Cursor or Origin), the mesh type (Vertex or Plane), and optionally add mirror and subdivision surface modifiers. It is released under the GNU GPL license.
Jsculpt Tools is best for blender sculptors who want primitives, mask extraction, remeshing and retopology handled by one addon.
Jsculpt Tools is completely free to download and use.
Jsculpt Tools is listed here for Blender version 5.0, so it targets current Blender releases. Because the addon offers a way to select objects without leaving Sculpt Mode using Shift + D specifically in Blender versions below 3 — where the Alt + Q transfer mode is not available — some behaviour differs across Blender generations. For the most reliable results on your exact build, check the developer's page and the included documentation before installing, since Blender's sculpting shortcuts have changed over successive versions.
Jsculpt Tools is released under the GNU GPL license, and the developer notes that its source code is available upon request. That means you are working with an addon under an open-source license rather than a closed one. If you need the source, or have questions about how the GPL applies to your own use, redistribution, or modification, reach out through the developer's page. For the current terms tied to your download, the developer's page is the authoritative place to confirm details before you rely on them.
Jsculpt Tools is listed as free in this catalog. Licensing and availability can change over time, so for the current terms — and to confirm what is included with your download — check the developer's page directly. The addon itself is released under the GNU GPL license with source code available on request, so anyone evaluating it can review how it is distributed. If pricing or access has shifted since this card was written, the developer's page will show the up-to-date position.
Jsculpt Tools lets you make an object active for sculpting without switching to Object Mode: hover over the object you want and press Shift + D. This shortcut applies in Blender versions below 3, where the Alt + Q transfer mode is not available. It is aimed at keeping you inside Sculpt Mode while moving between objects in your scene. On newer Blender builds that already provide transfer mode, you would use Blender's native option instead, so check which applies to your version.
Jsculpt Tools extracts geometry from a painted mask: paint a mask onto your sculpt, then click Extract Mask to create a new mesh covering the masked area. You can define a Thickness and an Offset for that extracted mesh in the panel. If you also select Remesh after the extract, the new mesh is remeshed with the Voxel remesher at a voxel size you set. This gives you a separate piece of geometry derived from the mask that you can continue sculpting.
